How come Axis infantry get all the snares?

Seriously, almost every Axis infantry unit gets snares galore. Only Riflemen or Cav Rifles get snares with USF. Dumb that they increased the repair cost of the UC so Axis wouldn't cry. Letting them waste munitions on fausting UCs was a sound tactic.

If by all all you mean osttruppen and grens from ost and fussies falls and volks. Also allies dont face clown car flamethrowers and nicely durable bren carriers at first 5 minutes as axies do. Having light vehicles is quite powerful and its balance decision to allow axis some way to defending against them.

Well for OKW sturmpioneers dont get snares overs dont get snares JLI dont get snares either- and fusilier LOSE their snare if you give them panzershreks.

For ostheer ostruppen grenadiers and the jaeger command squad have snares, all the rest dont.


I'm just not seeing how axis infantry have "all the snares" or "all have snares" whichever you meant neither are true.

Theres actually more allied infantry that gets snares than axis inf.

What Aarotron said. Axis face T0 light vehicles that can’t be killed by a single squad’s rifle fire, so they need a way to fight back.

Snares galore? Here is a break-down of what units can actually snare you.

Axis:

Volks-Gren, Pfus (Before AT upgrade), Falls - OKW
Grens - Ost

Allies:

Cons, Penals, AT Partisans - USSR
Rifleman, Cav Rifles - US
Royal Engineers, Tank Hunter IS - UK

Notice how the snares are usually on line infantry? I even highlighted the non-doctrinal stuff for you.

- Soviets get con AT 'nade.
- Soviet gets AT Satchel.
- Soviet gets M3 Scout Car w Penal inside.

- Brits get engineer AT 'nade.
- Brits get Universal Carrier w Infantry Section within.
- Brits get (Hammer) Gammon bomb.

- USA gets Vet 1 rifleman AT 'nade
- USA gets Mechanized Jeep w Cavalry Riflemen inside.

Axis don't get light carrier vehicle quite as early.

If Allies get their snares early and free, axis get early armored units.
Beware what you ask for ^_^

You should also count TWP and Puma aimed shot of you are counting anything that can slow/snare.

i also didnt count aec or ukf sniper....they are verhixles...OP talk about snares on inf.

What is wrong with my snares? satchels??

This isn't a meaningful metric. You don't get one of each squad every game.

Every faction has snares on their mainline infantry or their engineers: they can all have a good supply of snare-equipped infantry if they want it.

It doesn't matter if Faction X has a bazillion doctrinal elite infantry squads with snares. They're only relevant if you pick their commander, and they're only going to make up a small part of your army.

Because axis need "more" (read: not really more) snares in order to avoid having an EVEN WORSE win rate compared to allies :)

Oh dear. Allies have MORE snares including very powerful satchel charges. What's more, they often combine snares on the same unit with ant tank weapons (you can have a bazooka, ptrs, and a snare on one unit) Axis often face light vehicles and tanks rolling over their anti tank infantry with a vehicle making them unable to use a panzershreck (they cant stand still snd dont fire or just get crushed by a tank). Impossible against allies as they will snare you. So actually its the other way around. Allies have a lot of snares combined often with at weapons, which makes closing to those units impossible. Its a huge tactical advantage.
