They have a better shoot frequenz than Schrecks. Schreck is stronger, that is the deal.
Every tank can still outrange them, use T34/76 OP maingun and simply one or two shot the PnzGren. (had that today in 2 games).

Panzerfusilliers
"The way Panzerfusiliers are deployed has been changed to better match their role as an alternative mainline infantry to Volksgrenadiers. They will be slightly weaker than Volksgrenadiers at the start but have access to the Anti-Tank Rifle Grenades, slightly better combat veterancy, and more powerful upgrades, giving them increased power in the late game. This should make for interesting choices and compositions."
PF miss 2 thing that VG have access to sandbags (imo should be removed from all mainline infatry or have speed decrease)

Imo only cons should have sandbags because they are supposed to be the supporting mainline inf. And they lack nondoc upgrades and potent nades.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

The point stands. If x is an issue and has to get Removed why reintroduce x+ at a later date?
The 5 minute T70 from industry was a disaster, but perhaps if it was to come at 4 minutes....
- Volks back then were just 235MP and 5 popcap (Pfussies 280mp and 7 popcap).
- Volks back then had insane veterancy.
- The old 4x Volks Kar98K did way more AI damage than the current 3x Pfussie Kar98K. So they were decent all-rounders instead of being a pure AT squad (which encouraged blobbing). Panzerfusiliers' AI with the double Schreck upgrade is really bad.
- OKW did not have anything else to spend munitions on. Now there are multiple ammunition upgrades available that require choices.
- Volks Schreck was dirt cheap and not 120 munitions with 90 and 60 munitions AI upgrades to consider purchasing instead.
- Panzerschrecks back then did way more damage to infantry models (sniped them).
- Panzerschreck hits on vehicles back then skyrocketed veterancy for infantry.
- Volks Schrecks were not in a doctrine that had other viable munitions abilities.

Intended. They are an alternative, not a replacement. Volksgrenadiers are meant to have certain advantages over them, to make army composition choices more interesting.

Once more. The analogy does not hold any water at all. In one case we are talking about 2 stock units in the other about a doctrinal unit and faction trademark ability.
