Hello guys, funny story.

A friend of mine has some acquaintances in the United States and one of them found a tank while working in a barn:

Does somebody know what kind of tank this is? Maybe a Centurion?

I wonder how a Centurion ended up in America. We had the Patton tanks so it doesn't make sense for it to be there unless it's like for trials and tests.

Looks like a Centurion Mk. 5 to me. Also, looks like Aussie livery.

Funnily enough, there is a Cent that looks extremely like it on tanks encyclopedia. My guess is it somehow got to the US from Vietnam.

Agreed with AtomicRockets. Seems like late modification of Centurion, with 105-mm gun.

I'm going with an M-60 Patton.
Could be wrong, but it smells like one.

It's definitely a Centurion.

Looking at the hull it seems to be a Mark 5/2 variant (note the single headlight), the only version of that hull to get the famous L7 rifled 105mm gun (this gun is distinguishable by the "bore evacuator" which is the tick part in the middle of the barrel). The big round thing on top of the turret is an IR search light.

Might have been Canadian. Or Australian and somehow brought back from Vietnam.

Sorry. I was just looking at the Mantlet of the turret.
I ... had not looked at the main hull. You are correct, it looks like a Centurion body.

An insane amount of Canadian Easy 8s. Lol.

I found a Centurion with the bore evacuator.
The gun mantlet is identical. The hull seems a little different, though.

Just CTRL-F (Find) this : Strathcona
It'll pop right up. It's about 33% down the page.

The one on the left. Turret and Gun seem about right.
