Sappers vs Recovery Sappers

Sappers cost 26mp to reinforce while recovery sappers cost 28. Is there a reason for this? Do the recovery sappers have better stats and is there a way for me to check this myself?

They come with a free minesweeper I believe and a much faster repair speed. Possibly a smoke grenade too but I don't generally play Brits.

They can salvage wrecks, have smoke grenades and have a minesweeper by default
