B4 , what's the point.

I'm not saying it is OP or UP , but it has no sense in this game. It might work or not , it's a roulette for cheesy strats. Probably "one shot or nothing" is a wrong concept for an RTS game.
I know we still can't apply changes to others commanders, but i would like to know community opinion.

B-4 can't even hit the sector its aimed at and you still dare to claim what you did.

Don't bother with B4.

Its a meme arty that was overnerfed so much, it lost its vet1 ability that allowed it to be viable, had its native ability be changed into vet1 nerfing it even further, its scatter is utter bs and unless you want to put a mental effect on your opponent(making him laugh each time you shoot and terribly miss, regardless of distance), its a massive waste of resources.

Remember when mods wanted to put it in tank hunters doctrine instead of ML-20 and the idea met instant backlash from players who realize its a map decoration unit only?

I never understood why the anti-tank shot is a vet 1 unlock.

I don't deny that, just like you can't deny its current scatter is equally broken all the way to the other side of the balance spectrum.

Amount of times this thing has 1 shot my cutoff t4 in group games is incredibly tilting.

Its one of those things that only ever works for your opponent because RNG but sucks when you use it

shame because its such an iconic artillery piece and has quite a nice looking model

If an oppont has an annyoing unit in the left bottom corner of the map, u order your B4 to shoot into the right top corner, i.e. increasing your chances to actually hit said annoying unit


Other than that... puns, thats the point of it...

Dont forget to retreat B4 it wipes your blob

- Stuka dive bomb is really expanisve. u cant spam it every minute.
- stuka dive have long sound warning > easy evade possbible
- stukas dont delete heavy tanks

u compare the 35range slow moving and slow aiming ST with the b4?? GZ to the noobness.

u must be brain afk when u managed to lose something important to ST. and it cant one shot every thing above the whole map.

What if the B4 commander ability includes an upgrade for cons? They shoot a smoke grenade or a special type of flare to "guide" the B4 strike? You can still shot it "blindly" and get bad scatter (still could get some love) and you use a flare to "precise shot" at a point.

Should just decrease its damage and make it more like regular artillery, firing 3 shells or something with a bit better AOE than the ML-20. It's a boring solution I know but the current 'all or nothing' charactaristic is impossible to balance. It's either too frustrating to use (if its bad) or too frustrating to be on the receiving end (if its good).

Whenever there is a balance talk, I always tune in to see people in favour of RNG, recommending you micro your unit like you're playing roulette in a casino.

Coincidentally, it's the same players who have no 1v1 experience.

Cut the bullshit please.
The B4 is useless, and it's a meme at best.

ITS FREAKING FUN THATS WHY FFS !!!

and if u have an actual idea of what your doing its not to bad. Some factors to keep in mind when memeing with the b4 and get good results are:
- don't plant it all the way back like u would do with another howi, plant it as far forward as is safely possible. So that there is no immediate risk of losing the thing.
- plant (several) rings of mines around the b4 so that when your get rushed you bomb the tank thats rushing.
- always shoot at targets close to you and when u have sight. dont use this thing to base bomb, its a waist of time. its better to shoot a a single squad relatively close at u then a whole blob in the enemy base with the way how scatter works on this gem.
- use it as bait with mines
- get the AA halftrack (when against ost) the sovjet AA halftrack is so insanely good with AA u have an quite ok chance of shooting down the recon plane before it reached its target. thus decreasing the chance of getting a stuka divebomb of succesfully
- get not one but 2 or 3 of them, that way u will have more shots for that lucky hit on the close target that u got vision on.
- good maps for this strat are the smaller maps like 2v2 maps where your b4 can guard multiple choke points at once, like vp's, cutoffs and bridges. And because the map is smaller, your targets can't be that far away, previous factors considerd. Crossing in the woods for example would be obviously a better map then moskou outskirts.


when u have 2 or 3 aimed for the same area, that is relatively close by, u got vision on, and the target is slowed by mines or suppression its almost impossible to miss


So to conclude: happy mememing and get gud, b4 can be a viable unit on certain occasions and is not completely useless :foreveralone:

Why not make it good again but make it really expensive to use, something like 150 - 200 muni. It could even drop a red flare where it is firing. This would give axis some counter play through easier avoidance or starving of munitions.
