Battlefield V WW2 now playable.
- Sept 4 for Premium members
- Sept 4 for pre-purchasers
- Sept 6 for all others
- Runs until Sept 11.

Who wants 5 to 7 of free Battlefield V play?

Only thing is you need to update your video drivers in most cases.

Installed it last night.
Sooo excited. Missed out on last 2 closed alphas.
So went nuts and upgraded PC to a Ryzen 8/16T @64 GB monster :)

This time, I am ready!!!

PS: I want T34s. Lol

! Aren't you British?

I wish they used less OP tanks than SturmTiger lol.
Then they'll need to go a-nerfing them when they should have used less OP vehicles
to begin with. Something like StuIII-E perhaps?

Unless things changed it’s Rotterdam and Narvik for maps and one runs the new game mode other one is stock BF modes.

No, it was a bug that was fixed apparently.

I'm having fun so far, stg seems super OP. Or maybe smgs just suck.

Great! Can't wait to play like an Asian or African American female Wehrmacht Soldier in the battle of Rotterdam in 1940!! I hope they have pink weapons too! Hihi!

- You, sir, are not allowed to play. I am stuck at work, still.
- They tweaked STG vs SMG play. SMG had too much range. STG now
do much less at short range.

Ge43 : 2/3 Rifle, 1/3 SMG
STG44: 1/3 Rifle, 2/3 SMG
MP40 : 0/3 Rifle, 3/3 SMG

SMGs were actually BUFFED in some context. This has less to do
with the actual weapon, and more with how you use them. It's more realistic now.
No more 'perfect at all ranges' now :)

I'll be playing a white male 8 foot tall albino german.
I'll have rouge on my cheeks and giganormous size 32 clown shoes.
And a huge flag on my back that says 'Death to all untermennen' (Anyone under 8 feet tall)
expect a look of friendly fire :)

My camo pattern will be swastika. On helmet, on sleeves, on collar, on chest, on pants, on socks,
on 32-sized clown shoes that go honk.

Maybe something about white power, being a cisgendered male albino.

Gotta love how far you can edit your character :)

STG seems like its going to be a problem weapon like the postbuff BAR or the model 10 prenerf for BF1. There always has to be one to two guns that is/are nuts in a BF game, its the cycle of life.

========
- You have the wrong priorities! Sell kidneys and buy a kickass gaming PC!!! NOW!
- I've always felt weird with :
: COD:WAW : Weapons have nothing to do with the army you are in. Japanese have BARs, and USF have MG42.
: No class limits. Fighting in open maps vs 32 enemy snipers is... brutal.

I wish they'd make it like RO2.
Limit on officers, engineers, Anti-tank, MGs and snipers and etc.

It also bugs me that the most advanced gun in the war is the default starting weapon:rolleyes:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_occupation_of_Norway

In March and April 1940, British plans for an invasion of Norway were prepared, mainly in order to reach and destroy the Swedish iron ore mines in Gällivare. It was hoped that this would divert German forces away from France, and open a war front in south Sweden.[2]

Moving east, the Germans were surprised when the British started to abandon Narvik on 3 June. By that time the German offensive in France had progressed to such an extent that the British could no longer afford any commitment in Norway, and the 25,000 Allied troops were evacuated from Narvik only 10 days after their victory.

*** The Narvik map is based on ~April 1940.
: MG42 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG_42 In service 1942–present
: MP40(Kinda)
: G43 (1943)
: STG44(Even KB2 prototype is 1942)
: Tiger (1942)
: SturmTiger (1944-1945)
: AT Churchill (Prototype, and, seriously?)
: Valentine tank : n service 1940–60 (Ok, this one works)
: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churchill_tank : 1941
The second major improved Churchill, the Mk VII, was first used in the Battle of Normandy in 1944. The Mk VII improved on the already heavy armour of the Churchill with a wider chassis and the British 75 mm gun, which had been introduced on the Mk VI. (1944 for MK7)
: Churchill Mk VII (A22F) (1,600 produced, together with Mark VIII) 1945 !!!! (Crocodile)
: The first V-1 was launched at London on 13 June 1944,[6] !!!

In service 1938–2006 - This one works okay

... It drives... me... nuts :)
Different maps being set in different years, ought to have different weapons :)

The German invasion of the Soviet Union led to small numbers of the SVT-40 being captured and returned to Germany for examination.
- Germans copied SVT-40 and made the Ge43

Soviets captured STG44 and made the AK47 :)

I get where you are coming from but don't you think it would be shittier gameplay wise if you were forced to use weapons and vehicles depending on a map all the time?

Again: Historical accuracy doesn't really matter to me when it comes to multiplayer gameplay tbh and I seem to fail to see this argument when people weren't complaining about automatic rifles in BF1 half as bad

Drove me nuts in COD:WAW (5) when USA had Japanese rifles vs Germans with british rifles...
I'm more in the RO2 (Red Orchestra 2) school of thought.

Limit# of Snipers. Heavy Machine guns, etc.
No limit on bolt rifles.
Some maps have STG44 (KB2) and some others don't. Etc.
No BAR on German-Soviet maps. Etc :)

Sorry. I'm a purist :)
I don't mind black women, thought :)
