First off please excuse my language.
The match making system for top tier players SUCKS ASS!
(1) you wait for about 9 minutes for a game
(2) You get matched up with noobs
(3) Win=nothing gained (Elo stays the same + BORING GAME)
(4) Lose (because internet problem or some other RANDOM SHIT) = Drop about 30 positions in ranks.
WHAT's the POINT???
I understand this game is not popular like starcraft, which results in extreme difficulty for people that has such a large standard deviation towards population mean. fine! Then stop making Top tire players SUFFER through rounds and rounds of BORING GAMES and TO FIND OUT IF ANYTHING HAPPENS that results in DROPS or LOSSES, their rank decreases by 30.

the coh2 as a game is not boring you ass hole. the games i get matched up with NOOBS are boring.
Also, there are rare occasions where I get interesting games. I enjoy that. Not some:
QQ Russians: NERF EVERYTHING GERMAN HAS!!!!!

Matchmaking just sucks in general (probably cause there is not enough players)
P.S. I have all 1v1 through to 4v4 option ticked
I have played no 1v1 games in 2 weeks, 1 2v2 game, very few 3v3 and whole bunch of 4v4 games (maybe 95%)

if you play German, it's most likely end up waiting 9 min, if you want a quick and competitive match, play soviet?
First off all. Tripwire so gud, 10 ammo for a whole dead squad ? + sight.
Vehicle capture point can win games, blitzkrieg save a tank. Fair Deal i think

Good point, bear boy. The distribution is like 66/34 in favour of germans.
Still, automatching sucks for everyone and does exactly what you describe. It has got nothing to do with being 'top tier' - whatever you mean by that.

Im not certain, but I think the system prioritises you for the biggest match you tick.
Basically you end up sitting in the list for 4v4, while it populates the rest of the slotsmfor that match, and the 1v1s get matched to others with only 1v1 selected.
Otherwise it would just keep dumping people out of 4v4 lists into 1v1s, and there would never be a 4v4 for people who tick all the options.
Dunno, but that may be why you are only getting 4v4w with that setup.

by top tier i mean top 100. It has everything to do with your rank.
This is how match system work:
(1) You are initially searching for games with players within 50 positions of your rank
(2) Every minute you are not finding the game, the search logic widens your rank differences.
So yes it has EVERYTHING to do with being top tier.

By having 20 players in total searching for 2v2 hardly makes a difference with a 60-40% search ratio. So no... this has nothing to do with what you believe to be true that less players are playing as soviets.

My point is till, that I have the same wait and bad matchings as you. So whatever your rank, it does not hurt you more than it does me at positon 90.000-and whatnot.

to be fair mike has a point from the original post i honestly couldn't tell he enjoyed the game sounded more like you just enjoyed your rank not the game it self.
best advice i can give: stop caring about a "stupid" rank and go play and have fun. find people with similar skill level and friend them then set up matches so you don't have to encounter as many uneven matches.
i.e.: instead of bitching about it here, go out there and solve your problem.

It really does suck playing against mostly lower players. There is nothing to gain, but plenty to lose (I've lost a ton of rank from drops by lower players).
There is really no solution to it though. I do wish the drop win decision gives some weight (not all though) to whoever has the larger army at the time of drop. I would get a loss while base-raping someone when they have nothing.
