Hay guys im really after some help on how counter a PG spam like this.
Im at a total loss nearly every time this happens (not helped by me sucking any way)

Snipers Snipers Snipers. Even 1 Sniper will bleed the Ostheer Manpower causing that strat to become difficult to sustain
However, make sure to support your snipers from the inevitable Scout Cars/Flamer HT's using either Guards or Conscripts with AT Nades.
EDIT: I often go 3 Conscripts (and see 2 or 3 pio squads I know this may lead to PGren Spam), I then go T1, Flamer in Clown Car, followed by Sniper and Penal Squad if i'm feeling adventurous.
Can follow it up with T2 if I go Guard Motor Coordination Tactics and save for T34/85s. Or T4 for Su-85s.

hmm guess snipers could of worked but would need a few
(all so to add this was late game not early)

Snipers dude
even two of them.and Shocktroops can win vs. pgrends but their expensive, watch for their bundle grenades.

Of course, snipers will keep them at bay until a half track arrives. T70 will murdilate pgrens. Ostheer can't afford to buy shreks for all of them. Chase them back home and have a crush fest, take over the map, and spam t34s.

2 Snipers, shoot the squads holding shreks first. Then use a T34 or T70 on the rest.

Firstly whoever does this is usually noob in search of quick victory. Free win if you know what to do.
1. don't fight with him with conscripts...just retreat and cap until...
2. you have enough power for sniper (inside scout car better)
3. make second sniper if possible but only if no scout car, if scout car..make guards
4. then support conscripts with sniper and guards
5. T3 and win

Use artillery. Scout, harass and corral your enemy into a nice, squishy blob, and then bombard it with katyushka rockets. Effective against any target!

Snipers (as a Tier 1 Unit) and shock/KV8 (as a commander unit) are the most effectiv methods again a PGSpam, so you should choose the commander in which you can use them but like Vorgo mentioned before, it's a free win, if your enemy spams PGs
