That's just a well known stat about suppression and pin. However the suppression/pin RA bonuses wear off after 10 seconds I believe. So if your opponet doesn't notice his squad is pinned it eventually just counts as neutral (or negative if on negative).


I meant Obers with the STGs.

I was just wondering where that data exists. Is it a text file pulled from the game?

Every squad (sbps) has an entry in their attributes (under combat_behavior_ext) that governs how they handle suppression. This is where the thresholds are set for the squad being suppressed and then pinned.

Being pinned (pin_down_activate_action) has a delayed action of 10 seconds that applies a 400% received accuracy modifier. So after 10 seconds of being pinned even moving ostruppen can still hit their target. I haven't checked every unit in the game, but this holds for every suppressable unit that I've seen.

I get them when I am struggling with my current units especially when I have everything but somehow my army just can’t punch through I call in the Ober to get the job done but I feel like reinforcing them more than I am actually using them and I tend to forget about sending them back to the frontline once the game really heats up.

obersoldatent main weaknesses are:

-4man squad so easy wipe with gammon bomb and other cooked nades.
-meh without upgrade since they overkill targets a lot
-costly to produce and reinforce
-super slow to heal and reinforce...
-get wiped by light med and heavy tank in 1-2shells.and other AOE unit like mortar

strenght:
-excellent veterancy
-good mobility thx to very good accuracy even when moving
-high damages can almost one shot soldier out of cover
-win all engagement 1vs1 thx to a good combo of stat+skills
