Well you both were kind of alone. So hard to say what is the reason. Sorry
Most people were fine.
But now since 1 day i hear from some people that they have this lags.

Yawp. Always after anything is done with the servers. Patches, hotfixes, resets, etc.
Sometimes lasts for days, even weeks, but I typically only play on weekends so it's hard to gauge.

Probably due to the security issue in Intel with the "meltdown" fix. Nukes Server CPU performance by 30% with the supposed fix.

No, my pc freezes not. But the ingame coh2 short freezes (connection lost, reconnecting) is an internet issue after all. It's probably the servers then ^^

Happened once today in the beginning of one game. Disconnect-reconnect. Glad it's not 3 bugsplats in 4 games in a row like usually (yeah, in some cases i think it's a server issue too). Though better explanation of 'lag' is welcomed because everyone started to fit their troubles to this topic.
