The turret of the Tiger 1 is really slow. If you rotate the entire tank though, you can target the enemy tank quickly. Wouldn't it be handy to have a "lock turret" button on the Tiger 1, turning it into an effective tank destroyer when needed?
I think Tiger Ace Michael Wittmann used it like this.

So pretty much KT's spearhead ability?It doesn't have to be some fancy ability. Just a simple button for locking the turret to 0° should be enough, so it works like a Stug.
Michael Wittmann was commanding a Stug III Ausf. A before he got his Tiger 1, and because of the slow turret rotation of the Tiger, he often used it just like his old Stug. Instead of moving the slow turret, he simply ordered the driver to tilt the whole tank in the direction of the target.

If tiger had a poor vet 1 ability then yes but blitz with the new tiger mobility buffs means it can more effectively chase down enemy tanks and tank destroyers.
