Ost mortar is too OP(Vickers HP bug)

USF shouldn't recieve a mortar to begin with. But that's not the point.


Rifles beat Grens in vacum, thats why Ost is built around superior (in theory) support weapons to compensate that.


There must be something to be done to fix this issue, because UKF is designed to be even more static than Ost. Ost mortar just completely forbid any team weapon play and tommy's cover play of UKF at the beginning.
Either nerf ost mortar or buff UKF's opening is needed.

No, UKF is the weakest faction. A crippled faction without any heavy tank and mobile artillery and cheap TD.

I have read of course. I agree some of it. So if they are not going to touch the mortar of ost, they need to buff the opening of UKF such as giving UKF to build sniper at the beginning.

This is a Brit problem more than a OST balance problem.

I've been playing Brits exclusively (1v1) for a couple of weeks now and they really struggle at dealing with heavy support weapon play as their low movement speed makes them terrible flankers. The lack of mobile arty means they can't counter barrage or smoke outside of a fixed radius. The mortar pit is overpriced and can generally be ignored or destroyed pretty easily.

Really, there's no reason to do anything in their build order other than stall for a Comet and farm its vet 1 ability. Once you get there, you can turn the game. Everything before that is a slow death spiral.

The ost mortar was also shooting at a spotted unit, increasing its accuracy.

The MG disappeared along with the model that was carrying it so I suspect something happened that teleported them out of the map, a clipping bug of some sort. What ended up happening was that you were down an MG when you should have been down a crew.

As a general rule, if you are going to fight Ost mortars you should not allow your MG to set up in such a position that the crew is clumped as it was.

On that map fighting for that VP and point are also near worthless as you gain almost nothing and he has green cover and narrow approaches to guard the points. One MG can protect two approaches, and be in green cover and another can guard the other approach and also sit in green cover. Getting them out will require, for the brits a 610 mp investment (mortar and engineer) just to get started pushing him out and assuming he sends 0 support to help his MG. Put pressure on his fuel.

Some alteration is need. Ost mortar have pin point accuracy and wipe squads too frequently.

Since this thread is very super serious and stuff and not troll at all let's go, ukf needs to have a double 120s in their mortar pit and a 6 man crew on vickers, also I once saw that my ISU got killed by a JT so I think that it would be nice to give the ISU the "BL-10" gun, which is a high velocity 152mm cannon. This is what we need to do to balance the game out

But maybe, you should realize that the game is buggy, stuff like that happends and it's nothing new really...

mortar pits double morta hit a sqaud...instant wipe.
bofors turns so fast its turrent...i can wipe 3 squads on retreat...
