Seriously why does everyone find a StG upgrade for them wrong, they just need to be able to scale with enemy weapon upgrades and more expensive squads
StGs are overused? Then give them ppsh upgrade instead German soldiers liked looting and using the ppsh on the Eastern Front so it will suit assault grenadiers
Just an upgrade that replaces 2-3 of their MP40s is all they need

I'd say they scale well compared with conscript upgrades :snfPeter:

Katitof please, Obviously Conscripts have much better weapon upgrades that is if you have a Brit ally that went Special Weapons Regiment :snfPeter:

Why you want tweak unit, which functions as intended. Early shock unit for the initial pressure on the key position.

AssGrens are not intended as a substitute regulars units.

They Should be a more numerous alternative to going Pgrens if i want a shock infantry unit, they're not useful past 4 mins right now.

Why not smoke grenades with vet? It'd be what they need to close a position without dropping models, making them useless.

The thing with MP40s is that they're only effective at close range. StGs, incidentally are effective up to medium ranges, and just plain outclass MP40s. It's good that they have MP40s and not StGs. If anything, the Assault Grenadier leader could have an StG without it being a problem, but it'd be a negligible tweak that wouldn't help the squad mid-to-late game.

Smoke grenades, with or without vet, might work nicely on them as an alternative.

Yes buff needed. But no to AT snare. Not every non engineer unit needs to have AT. Just make the unit have a role and be able to be supported. If you send assault grens out with no support one of the only counters other than MG is to counter back with light vehicle play. If they get a snare they become way too potent. Heck, at close range their MP40 can do good damage to vehicle like M3 and Bren also. No to STG44's, just boost vet and cheapen the assault nade package
