If you like the 2x downgraded STGs for 60 munis, then that is probably because you don't like to face stronger volks. (I am assuming you don't play as OKW at all.)



OKW has to spend every single muni they can get and that is why they got scavenge as a non-doc ability.


Vet 3 RM have literally no upkeep cost as they don't lose a single model.

Volks vet is inferior to all the other baseline inf, Tommies don't even need vet to wreck volks and obers since they have a received accuracy of 0.7 and the highest ROF of any rifle based unit, and can pick up 2 different types of strong LMGs.

I like the postpatch OKW a lot, and I love the concept of the army.

OKW swims in muni because only sinks are 60 muni upgrades, mines, and nades. They have best early map control and always swim in munis.

Vet 3 RM have high upkeep lol

Volks offensive vet, self healing and vision boost at vet 4 (right?) makes them trade effectively at most ranges, specially with nade usage

Now if we're talking stg's why not actually make it 120 mun 5 Stgs, shifting the volks into a shock unit, also make it restricted to vet 2 or T2 so it's not just abused and spammed.

Now that would be a nice flavor and utility change.

With 5 Stg44 they become too strong. No more reasons for build Ubers (WafenSS), or using doctrinal infantry.

Hmm, they would suck hard at anything beyond medium range or in cover, obers will still be superior vet 0, and way better when vetted up and lmg.

Maybe restrict the dmg profile of the stgs a long range so they dont nuke everything at vet 5 but i still solidly believe that 5 stgs capped behind vet/tech and 120 mun would not break them, and would add a solid shock option for them.

In your logic, can Consripts become Shock troops in the same way of upgrade.

Of course, after all cons do partially become shocks, as they have the ppsh upgrade, that doesnt mean they should match the power level of the actual shock troops, but the option is there to take it.

The same could be true for volks, you just have to play around with the number so you can create the option without breaking the unit.
