Rarely improves anything, just performance heavy. Most streamers use 720p 50/60 fps, same goes for major tourneys.

i tried to talk to james that he should change settings. he ignores me. well he has partnership. I not. probably thats the matter why he dont recognize me in any point. But i give up to give him tips. just enjoy his PC build and laugh a lot ^^

Well, i really don't get it.
Causes way too much stress on the viewer, who's probably watching in browser window anyways, and the transcoding for lower qualities is sub-par.

well he has quality button, so noone cares about it, so he didnt get feedback^^. but we talk about james :D , nothing more to talk.

it is even not possible to stream in a very good quality in fast games in those resolution/fps with this upload rate without using a low CPU preset. and even than it doesnt reach any good quality^^. You need at least for 1080p60fps around 6500kb/s upload speed to get a decent quality at all.

Regardless, paying an extra $100 for a worse performing reference cooler is just impatience. It's basically an early adopter tax for a sub-par cooling product.

Got my 1080 Strix yesterday. FE cards are having to ramp up the fans pretty loud to not hit temp limits even at stock clocks or else the card starts throttling. With this one even when overclocked quite high the fans stay dead silent and temps are around 70C. All this for less money than an FE card!

How much is that in terms of rpm? Usual 2k'ish?
Still quite some room for silence builds as well it seems.

Well i dont believe that anyone here will OC a card for the stuff they are doing. Its one of the best cards out right now and it can till now all games running on max without any problems. Before you OC a graphicscard you will probably buy first a new card now a days.^^

Hah, I overclock everything. I drive fast too. Speed is speed.

Also you can usually OC a card to match the performance of the next level card. For example my old GTX 780 was actually clocked to perform faster than a 780ti and also better than a stock GTX 970. Why not OC? Its free. Same goes for the 1070, you can clock it to almost match a 1080 stock speed.

I dont talk about what you do. I talk about the others which probably never OC any graphicscard before:D.
And its not really anymore interesting to do that. Almost everyone has soon a gtx 1080 or 1070 or any 970 or 980. If not any amd graphicscard. And at the moment you dont need more for any game. If you dont use special settings or programms. :P

Sadly even with a GTX 1080, COH2 still goes down to 60fps sometimes, and even 30fps during victory strikes lol. COH2 is so badly optimized...

Ran the Valley bench to see and 50% fan is around 1850rpm.

ASUS STRIX versions are pretty impressive i have 970 STRIX from last year and even in full load the fans are at 50% speed and temp is < 65 degrees which is impressive..

And like every other variants you get a point click overclock mode you can enable via softawre it comes with pretty handy.

Now the only thing i need to replace to make my PC go silent is the noisy PSU which is 6 years old now waiting for price drops on fanless PSU..

If you guys are looking for new GPU go for STRIX variant best i have seen so far.
