Relic recently tries to make some underperforming units more usefull (SU85/T34/Penals/Brumbar...)

But there are still allot of underperforming units like WC51/Greyhound etc.

But this thread is about the Flame Hetzer, I tried to make it work but to me it looks like this units spews luke warm water instead of actual flames. And would like to know what you think of this unit and if underperforming how you would buff it.

Edit:

Veterancy requirements also is way too high, it takes more than 150 conscript kills to reach its maximum veterancy.

Plan of saving Feuersturm doctrine:

1. Flamehetzer ----------------> Trash can <--------------- M-42, 2cm flak...

2. Feuersturm doctrine <-------------- Hummel S-P Artillery/ sFH 18 Howitzer

3. ...

4. Profit!

It's clearly underperforming for its cost.

The main problems of the flame hetzer are the turretless design, the high xp requirements and its low damage.

IMO it should deal damage like a KV8 at least it has no turret.

i honestly dont understand why you would introduce a new unit to the game, blatantly underpowered, and keep ignoring it

why

It should get more frontal armor. The excellent slope gave it almost the protection of a Panthers frontal armor.

That or make the Flammpanzer an upgrade for a regular Hetzer that could take its spot.

I think the flamhetzer needs more damage a cost decrease and maybe a lower cp requirement because right now it has the same fuel cost and cp requirment of another OKW doctrinal AI unit the Ostwind witch has more utility and survivability because it can blitz and it seems to block shots more (I dont have any of the stats but I swear ive never ever seen a flamhetzer bounce a shot despite its incredably sloped armor).

It feels like everything with flame have better damage output. Even flame carrier feels to deal more damage via flamethrower.

Dinno, I thought all flame damage are same. But hetzers damage feels like its much lover.

just decrease the veterancy requirements. How much CP do you need to call-in?

Release new shitty unit to draw in the suckers; fix it later to draw in the people who sat on the fence. Profit for everyone...except the suckers.

I like that idea. The Hetzer would be much more useful that way.
