Skipping the intros on loading

Not sure if everyone uses this or not, but the '-nomovies' switch still works in the steam launch options to jump straight into the game splash-screen.

Sounds like you've got other problems then. I've never had a sound problem with -nomovies enabled.

Been doing this since the game was released. Something I learnt from my vCoH mod. Very handy. 
Mind you, the way the intro video links to the background video on the main menu is pretty cool. I thought it was quite good the first time I saw it.
