The timing is off IMO, it is the only HMG which can be built at 5-6 min mark and is rather expensive, can be countered quite easily and simply put, it doesn't cut it. Once in T1, its cost can be raised to 300MP in order to prevent the creation of USF maxim spam meta.
It can help diversifying the faction and giving them the tool they need to counter aggressive Kubel+Sturm douchbaggery.

Nope. Maybe if you locked it being a side research in Barracks, and added mortar to T1.

M2HB is definitely a bit too good to be available immediately. Even if it is underperforming a bit right now, its arc and set-up time are good enough to pull off suppressing would-be flankers better than Maxims. Though I'd still be in favour of it and ATG being available at HQ after either Capt. or LT with sufficient Rifle nerfs.

50 fuels takes 5 minutes to get? the british can get an AEC out in six minutes.

i voted no for two reasons. one, i don't see it as fixing USF's issues in countering garrisons and HMGs prior to teching. two, i think that in combination with RET spam it would be OP.

So 2x 260MP MG42s supported by ostruppen are okay, 4X 240MP maxims supported by flamer CEs are ok, but a single 300MP .50 supported by REs would be OP?
