Does anyone know how effective these are compared to Gaurds PRTS's or are they both the same?

Just to clarify this DPS is calculate with 27 damage the damage against infantry and the ranges are 0, 10 ,20 ,30.

I feel like this upgrade was a little bit over nerfed, it should and more anti inf instead of down grading it. maybe the way it was dmg wise with this same accuracy would be fine cuz it hardly hits.. its a gd sniper any man is going down with that round.

One thing that could be changed with thease is reduce to their CP cost to 2 or even 0. I don't get it why AT-partisans and guards come in 2 CPs but to get access to con ptrs you need 3CPs. You can't really get thease in time in some games.

Because if you massed them, it was actually effective AI weapon.

I still remember these vids where people tried to show how OP PTRS was when 5-10 squads on vet3 annihilated vet0 obers or HMG42 in the open.

Con PTRS also can not drop.

I'd rather have them droppable, more expensive but actually accurate, but we have what we have.

Just stick to guards and forget tank hunters ever existed.
PPSh at vet3 are also beasts(exclusively because con vet3 rec acc vet, before that they are still steaming pile of poo).

There is no cost difference, guards have no armour so you can just merge cons into them. So with some micro the reinforcement cost is the same and it is the cost that actually matters. Upkeep and initial cost are not enough of a difference to make weapon so much worse. In case of shocks you cant do this as they will loose the armour.

Except the very patch note stating it this way you mean?
The very same patch that made con PTRS worse then guard PTRS.

Official forums are down and I don't remember any patch note general thread in here, so you'd have to dig it up yourself as I'm not going to.

How could this be achieved... oh I know! By not giving cons 1.5 armor and 6 ppsh!

The upgrade is even considered right now exclusively because of vet3 durability boost, vet2 or less, ppsh is still downgrade vs axis long range oriented weapon prifles as well as base con rec acc modifier.

I feel that cons dies much faster than gaurds , merging cons with gaurds is not a good idea
One patch made PPSH good at medium range, so its only downgrade the far range , I think ppsh cons are good vs okw, becuase okw deny fighting behind cover from far range via volks op molotov grande

This is no worse moment in this doctrine. One day, I was playing OKW, I met a guy with Tank Hunters.
So, I had OKW Pz.IV and he have 2-3 cons squad. He tried to use doctrine grenades. Half of them are not able to hit my tank, the second failed to pierce armor.:snfPeter:

Tank hunter is good only at one thing.

But honestly... This doctrine had huge potential... Just buff AT bombs so they are in fact AT, not AI and give it SU-100 call in in exchange for thos useless nades.

The same way G43 for Pg and ST are better then the ones for Grenadiers. Stop trying present something as balance issue when there is not one.

Guards PTRS difference with Mosin, is very similar to Conscript difference with their own mosin..

And seriously are you arguing that cons Ppsh should be as good as shock one's?

PPsh for conscripts is one of the most cost efficient upgrade in the game. People even chose commanders because they have it...stop trying to present a good commander ability as bad.

Unless you find these patch notes, it did not happen.

I'm sure that cons can't lose their ptrs when they got down to one man or they got wiped. I have played them a lot so I know how they work.

My ideas:

Mirror Conscript PTRS with Guards. Maybe increase price to 50 muni

Replace the small AT nades ability with a 5 CP HEAT ammo ability for tanks (same one as in OKW Elite Armor).
