7 squads of prostruppen with double lmgs would be lovely imo ♥_♥

There are good reasons for only usf getting them, and if it's not clear enough it's because they pretty much only use one inf squad to play, or two depending on if you like using REs

Just a remider, the most balanced RTS games have mirror design as much as they can and they are still very enjoyable.

The idea of a weapons rack is actually a nerf, for weapons racks it's like you need to pay for the unlock and the weapon itself whereas an upgrade is only paying for the weapon.

For whatever reason to me it seems more authentic the way it is now and making all factions more alike would just make playing them seem more bland ya know?

Sadly the most balanced RTS games with mirror balance are most boring ones.

Cossacks?
Warlords Battlecry?
Both mirrored for about 80% yet the best RTS ever. Especially Cossacks (still has bigger playbase than CoH2 :luvDerp: ).

I would add even Battle for Middle earth since there are many mirrored things there.

By mirror design I mean:
Axis have non-doc LMG? Allies should have as well.
Axis have insane TD? Allies should have.
Allies have close-combat unit? Axis should have
etc

Super heavy tank destroyers for allies or remove them completely!

Vet5 for everyone or no one!

All med tanks should have at least 180 armor!

See what I did there?

Not every army is supposed to have same pros and cons.

Giving axis weapon racks would give them a couple downsides.
1, it'll cost you 15 fuel and 150 mp.
2, lmg's have to get nerfed to the same damage as allied lmg's.
3, because of nerfed damage you'll have to spend 120 muni to get a good effect, for 4 man squads that get wiped easily it'll be a huge blow losing them.
4, increased droprate?
5, faust would have to be removed and put in vet 1.
6, no more s mines and teller mines, replaced with regular mine.

I vote no.

Be thankfull for what you do have and others don't.

Double lmgs are too lethal(it's cancer actually) imo, don't want more squads running around with them.

This is dumb. 2 the M1919 and the MG 42 have nearly identical DPS. 4 doesn't apply to Allied weapon racks, so why to Axis? 5 and 6 have nothing to do with weapon racks.

Hell, the second worst thing is the upgrades can only be purchased in HQ sector.

But even that idea is 1000x times better than weapon racks placed at the corner of the map.

I think one way to do this is the Ambulance can be upgraded to carry the weapons so when you deploy it, you can buy right off it. Stick the truck next to Major and you're set. Paper thin armour and slow movement compensates for this.


I like that idea. Abmu deloys weapons like UK HT does.

Also the ones I most enjoy are CoH2 and Starcraft, wich have completely different factions but manage to be quite balanced.

5 and 6 have alot to do with why allies have racks and axis don't if you think about it.

Ost doesn't need to pay or vet up for there abilities, while USF and Brits do, Brits don't have a snare weapon on there base squads, USF only when vet 1. Not to mention they need to pay for there nade unlocks.

That's why I'm explaining why it would be a bad idea for ost to have weapon racks, because when you mirror it, you'll have to pay for everything including all your upgrades which would give even higher tech costs to ostheer. Or you expect to just give ost weapon racks without a single downside? That'll mean you need to buff USF weapon unlocks and grenade unlocks for free to mirror it to ost.

How can you not understand why mines don't have anything to do with weapon racks, USF doesn't have non doc mines, so it has a weapon racks for zooks. Brits don't have a non doc snare, so they have weapon racks with piats.
I feel like you're not understanding me when i tell you it'll mean ostheer will get a huge early game nerf when you give them racks.

Well, they do have one, but it's certainly a lot more restrictive with an obvious drawback to being able to use it compared to "from a cheap repair unit".

I suggested this before, but why not have a small muni or MP upgrade on the Major that allows him to put down weapon racks when he sets up his Forward Retreat Point? This would give USF Forward Weapon Racks and would give the Major some more utility than just "that guy we run to with no combat ability, the shitty recon, and crappy arty".

No weapon racks = no dual equipping. Weapon racks for axis = dual equipping = axis OP.
