Yes it is sad to need to chose a doctrine to have something different/heavier than Sherman/M36 but this is how the faction is built.
Anyway the best ATtank in game is the M10, Relic themselves knew it since they increased the cost while nobody was complaining on it.

And more sherman ? How about introduce m46 Patton. Axis already hogs all the experimental/rare weapons and vehicles as well as the best anti tank

I'm all for US/Soviet gets a better non-doctrinal tank.
US gets a 76mm Sherman varaiant meanwhile soviet gets T-34/85
Meanwhile Axis enjoys panther/KT as stock unit for years.

I suppose those who want that upgrade to 76mm want to get a better scalability for the sermhan m4, which once heavies start rolling into the field, sherman lose tons of utility coz a sherman can figth a p4 but is not a great tool againts a KT for example.

Because, if you compare an easy 8 with a panzer 4 ausf D for instance, of course it is superior.

i know this has been talked about before but i still think and champion that the M4A3 Sherman should have the option aside from having an armor upgrade to increase durability to include a 76mm gun upgrade (via MU or FU costs) to increase its offensive capability. with the way warspoils are working right now its very difficult or unpredictable to get the pershing or easy 8 commander and you may have to spend money to buy them which some people cannot afford it. so having this option available non-doctrinally in my opinion should provide a flexible response for those who dont have either of the two.
top is the 75mm variant: the default sherman for the USF medium armor
upgrade it to the 76mm gun and you get this

Any of the 10,000 76mm armed Shermans are better than any Panzer IV variant in every single way besides penetration with basic AP where the Sherman is at around 120mm and the P4 at around 130 (irl). But M93 HVAP shits all over PzGr 40 by a longshot.
But the Panzer IV Ausf.G/H are both of course better than your usual 75mm Sherman.
(Irl the M4A1 76w, M4A2 76w, M4A3 76w and the M4A3 76w HVSS (aka E8) are all roughly the same, the HVSS in the E8 version just stands for better suspension.)

lol and axis get the best AT weapons and armor that have more bang for their buck plus they are easy to use and easy to play. not allies they can be frustrating as fuck as well provide a huge mental migraine strain with all that micro...
