I noticed during OCF that the T-34/76 was almost never used. This seems to have become the norm since the changes that put greater emphasis on light vehicle play; with the effectiveness of the Su-76 improved, the T-34/76 seems to have fallen severely out of favour.
It doesn't seem to be common to see any T-34's other than with the commanders that offer the /85 variant. This was already mainly the case before the changes to light vehicle play, but to me, it seems even more pronounced now.
This is of course just my own, limited, perspective; but I'm kinda surprised not to see anyone else discussing it. How much do the rest of you see the 34/76 in play, and should Something Be Done about it?
Does the T-34/76 need love?

In my opinion it fulfills it's role for it's cost. 80 fuel is way too low for what it does.

I don't think it's the T-34 itself. Teching up all the way is expensive manpower wise, and with the su-76 performing the way it does, players are just going for su-76s plus call-ins too much.
Lowering the manpower price of teching I think would help people go for more T4 units in general. As well as reducing pen on the SU-76 a bit, so players can't rely on them all game.

I think making T4 for soviets more appealing through a performance boost or cost changes would the best way to see more T34. The SU-76 handles most armor problems except for heavies, the T-70 has better AI then the T-34 and both of these are cheaper so the cost in even getting to T4 then making one T-34 you could have more T3 units and it ends up being more cost effective. On top of this only the Katy is worth going T4 for and it isn't as good as it used to be.

It's just that the T3 + KV8/IS2 combo is way more effective than teching up all the way. I'd like to see that the T34/76 gets a more consistent damage output (right now it sometimes doesn't hit anything 3 shots in a row and suddenly it kills 4/5 members). The Su85 should become a similar role to the Jagdpanzer. It's basically a more expensive version of the SU76. Katyusha is fine.

I think main problem is in ramming, now its kinda useless, and without it T-34/76 is very bland vehicle without role in SU tech.

The SU-85 also needs to be looked at. It really underperforms compared to the Jagdpanzer. In fact it should be a real threat to the Königstiger but it is not at all imho. Two SU-76 do this job much better. Moreover the T-34/76 should get back an effective ram ability. At least it should be able to inflict an engine crit to the enemy tank.

I once have sunk KT with it for instant vet3.
Other then that, I haven't seen vet3(or even vet2) T34 for like 6 months now?
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Everything in T4 is just underwhelming considering how much you pay for the tech, there's no point going for it over T3 and call ins.

How is SU-76 affecting T34/76 being utter shit?
Yes, 34/76 is cheap, but its still pretty menpower heavy and quite shitty, its unreliable unit for any situation and unless you have like 4, you'll have it underperform.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

to fix the t34/76 whilst keeping it different from other mediums, you either need to bring back the old ram or jack up the penetration value at extremely close range (turret touching enemy tank hull) to make it viable. As it stands, it has passable AI and awful AT. if i pull off a flank with a t34 then i should be rewarded with 90% penetration on all tanks. sure it has a dirt cheap price but what's the point if you need 2 to even consider making a difference.
