I was expecting some changes that would give players some time to react to squad wipes by the British Centaur. It looks like we will have to keep waiting.

I am happy flames are going to be tuned down, they were clearly overperforming, but, goddammit, what about the bloody Centaur? :(

That KV-8 Nerf is freaking huge


good, I'm tired of playing against those things every single game like the old flamer HT.

It should be a specialist unit to help on urban maps, not a shock unit to help you burn all the enemies volks, AT guns and base structures in the blink of an eye.

So... If Centaur can hardly kill unit in builings, if Brits still don't have indirect fire, flamer infantry, incediary nades and useful arty, how they gonna clear heavy fortifications? :foreveralone:

Test Centuar in the new patch mode preview vs units in garrison. it barely does any damage to them at all!!

A nerf would have been fine but not to make it useless against garrison!

try Centuar with rear armor to mg42 AP rounds in building. it takes centuar to half HP!!!
1 shreck in garrison owns centuar at ease
and generally it takes ages for centuar to kill any unit in garrison.

I don't think that sounds right


Make a test, a compare it how it performs in comparison to:

Flak HT
AA HT (USF)
Flakpanzer
M5 Quad
T70/P2

Wasp? You mean this little squishy early-game unit?
Keeping it alive in middle-late game just for clearing building is truly stupid and really hard.
Try to keep kubel alive from 10min+.
Sniper is slow and micro intensive.
All factions have a way to clear budiling with much less micro.
Also sniper and wasp cannot do anything to OKW builings.
This is where you need indirect which Brits dont have at all.


I belive advice abour arty regiment is just troll :foreveralone:

you can only compare it to flakpanzer not the other 4 you mentioned, indeed you can't even compare it with the flak panzer, you know why? flakpanzer (Ostwind) is a great unit with very excellent mobility, however Centuar moves too slowly almost like a heavy tank, so that is a wrong comparison you are making dude

I missed this bit earlier, it's wrong. Commandos do around 120 DPS, models have 80 health. Commandos ambush can wipe even Obersoldaten in 4 unless they are Vetted.

Have not tried the balance patch but I still think commandos will be awesome for surprise attacks and flanking support weapons. They will probably not be at all viable as frontline troops now that their damage goes way down which I am OK with.

I did test them, they're not bad but I don't suppose they're excellent either. From an ambush they still beat Panzergrenadiers with only 2 model loses, as opposed to no model losses. StG Obersoldaten are no longer easy targets though, and they cannot be ambushed because their IR Rifles detect the Commandos forcing the British to either force an attack and lose, or retreat. They will lose to Vet 3 Panzergrenadiers, but I don't consider that a bad thing because wiping Vet 3 Panzergrenadiers with ease is bullshit -_-

No, because bar flamers, no other vehicle excels at clearing garrisons.

If you follow Relic Balance logic, they use to overchange stats from OP to UP, or the other way aroud to finally set the stat in the middle. But sometime they forget the last part :D

alright, then replace ostwind with centaur. i doubt any ostheer player will complain.
