Use the community defensive doctrine O.o

I'm with the others that argue such abilities should be locked behind specialist units like sappers.

Do you really think lmg grens need free green cover to hide behind? Do we really want mg42s behind green cover 100% of the time?

Ostheer is ridiculously strong right now. Free green cover everywhere is the last thing they need.

Solid comment.

after 17th Sept we will see LMG (can double) rifleman VET 3(will scale better than grens now) behind green cover

Doctrinally locked and costing incomparably more as well, with no durable tank support and without ability to suppress any longer.

"incomparably more" = 10 ammo more ?

If you're loading two of them on a single squad and its not like rifles cost as much as grens either.

This doctrine will be in a really good spot

I also believe the doctrine will be where it should be.

Just pointing out impacting limitations that grens don't need to endure to use LMGs.

This is true and would help balance out them nasty grens

i got modded for calling you allies fanboi , u'r really well connected aren't you Kappa.
i'm fine with grens not having free green cover , maybe the could make up for that buy allowing lmg to fire on the move at vet 1 or 2 maybe.

Ostheer doesn't have this option, they don't even have sandbags!

Maybe rifles cost 40 manpower than Grens cause they are better than them ? ( the new buff to VET 3 will allow them to scale in late game, good thing )

Ostheer doesn't have this option, they don't even have sandbags!

And USF doesn't have snipers or mortars to dispatch units from behind cover safely from the get go.

Different armies, different units, different utility kits.

Can I have DP-28 for cons after I build T1 or T2 and molos/AT nades unlocked for free for normal teching if grens get sandbags?

Not everyone is supposed to have everything.

So why is it that Ostheer is the only faction that cannot lay heavy cover in the early game? Cons can lay sandbags, RE can lay tank traps, Volks can lay sandbags and IS can lay sandbags as well. Grens and Pios have no such option. Discuss.

If the only reason you bring up the inability to build cover with gens is because the other factions can i really don't think that is reason enough, especially not a balance issue.

An argument could be made from a design point that it would be more suited to OST with a more defensive dynamic to the faction as apposed to the more mobile factions, but only purely from a design point.

This thread and threads like it seem to be getting more and more popular sadly. It's along the same lines as "USF should get heavy's because everyone else does" and the latest "every faction should be given a forward retreat point"

But even if a faction has an advantageous design over another i don't think replicating it is a good idea, its not bad, just not good. I like to see more dynamic and inspired solutions if there are in fact problems to be solved

Exactly, and Ost gets MG 42 on Grens for 60 Munitions while USF gets M1919 on anybody for 70. There's no problem here, not everyone can be the same.

Lelic's awnser on this point is just Kappa. Don't have an other word for it. So even if we don't consider bunkers we are forced to go a doctrine with trenches to get green cover? Where the brits get it for 50 mp and green cover for free? Somethings fishy here...

Ostheer, the only faction with LMGs for baseline infantry, withtout research to get them. Grenades without research. Best AT snare without research. Best MG, Best AT gun. Asymmetrical balance you know? :hansGASM:
