They're indirectly nerfed due the buffs of counter units and changes on overall meta.

Examples:
- Guard Motor won't be as strong in the future > PTRS & 120s can't easily annihilate weapon teams anymore.
- And now go a step further and think about 43s that are an option due the lack of precision strike.
- Flame blobs won't instantly crit several models anymore either, giving you a lot more staying power.
- Or StugE may not wipe infantry as fast anymore, but it takes now 7 instead of 5 penetrated Zook hits.
- MGs have been buffed, so crowd control is a bit easier as well

Didn't realize E8s were that good at anything? I can see rifle company gaining more prominence due to flamers not exploding instantaneously, but E8s have never been the best part of rifle company. Why get 2 E8s when 1 sherman + 1 Jackson will have better AT/AI, and also cost less. The advantage of E8 is that you don't have to go major, and can thus go LT + CPT, saving a whopping 10 fuel. Going just LT -> callin E8s is inefficient at best and a shot in the foot at worst (LT gives early power with less scaling units).

Heavy callins may have been restricted to 1 only, but Ostheer still has access to panzer 4s and 5s. Use them.

Only a single one of them didn't make to patch.
I still believe it'll be way too cost efficient with below 100 fuel cost.

If you are not capable to use an AT gun versus it but tanks, you are attacking a (hard) counter of your tanks. You should have a hard time.

It still has less range than a SU-85, gets 4 shot by AT guns and doesn´t kill infantry reliably any longer.

The "nurf threads" will be done by people solely relying on call in tank meta. People who don´t use combined arms. Something we want to get rid of.

Easy 8's were badly nerfed several patches ago, and not all that great now. The AI was nerfed and it doesn't have the HE option like a regular Sherman (IIRC - been awhile since I used them).

Stug could remove target weak point in exchange for HE shell switching like isu152. That way is retains the assault gun roll.

Might be too good with the stats it's about to have, but as a general principle I'd agree with that. TWP is one of my most hated abilities in the game.

When you have 560 health every penned shot hurts a lot, and yes the most basic mediums occasionally at max range will fail to pen but in normal engagement range they will do fine (nobody sits at max range to shoot at a StuG). The 140 frontal armor means even the humble USF 57mm AT gun will pen it every shot.


The only 2 mediums in the game that have trouble per your post are the AP Sherman and T34/76, literally everything else will pen it always.

You do realize that the Stug being as good as it is will make soviet T3 even more outclassed, yes? The T34/76 has dismal DPS, cannot pen the Stug 100% of the time, and will be penned and out DPSed every time.

Adjusting units to counter callins without fixing Soviet core tech is just a bad idea. If you don't want a buff to the T34/76, but want the callin meta to disappear, you are either deluded, or you don't want Soviets to have a fighting chance.

Pretty much this. Narrow map meta will be MG42 + Pak + Stug with TWP. The Soviet player will have nerfed area of denial weapons to counter the weapon crews.

StugG has bad AI, use infantry-AT or AT-guns... or better yet flank it and use combined arms. :snfPeter::snfPeter:

Good one. They have same scatter values. Barrage is 40% more accurate. To balance it out due to slower rof is that they fire against smaller squads.

The advantages of the 120 are as clear as day so theres nothing to explain there
