It's just the number of people that have the game in their libraries. So if Warthunder shows up in your Steam library, it's being counted in these stats. That means every person who installs the game adds one to the purchased stat, and every person who uninstalls the game subtracts one from the purchased stat, since I'm pretty sure F2P games disappear from your library when you uninstall them.

some do some don't its werid. -_-

I think the Valve ones stay and the non-Valve ones disappear, but I'm not sure. I know if you never install Dota 2 or TF2 they never get added to your library, but I don't know what happens when you uninstall them.

They stay

Only if you've made a purchase ingame. On top of that, Dota 2 also is tied to my account, but it is propably because I had it since the beta.

Additionally, all free to play titles are added to your account permanently, you can see and remove your license to use them in your Steam account details. From what I know, they can never disappear from the games list in your steam profile, but they do disappear from the library if they are uninstalled.

From the amount of sheer noobs in automatch this makes sense.

Noob is everyone judging by ingame chat. Everyone should uninstall the game, because that's how noob we are.

Never did get an explanation for how people are supposed to get better though, or why the noobcalling dude had worse stats. I guess that's what's up next. Go future!

Tbh this really isn't that impressive, the RTS genre is dead, COH2 had very little in the way of serious competition in 2014.

Dead is relative in gaming. Most games are dead. People play anyway. I know, it doesn't make sense.

CS:GO on sale for 3.74. People buy it. Play it a bit. Keep playing it casually.

CS:GO on sale for 3.74. Trubbbel buys it. Trubbbel plays for 20 minutes (says Steam). Trubbbel uninstalls and have never played since and quite determined to never play again.

True story.

Well, the attrition rate is fairly significant for a game like CoH2 that has microtransactions, because having more people playing your game gives you a larger audience to sell your DLC to.

Setting aside the fact that 4 million in raw sales is a fairly impressive figure, if we compare the attrition rate of CoH2 to that of CSGO using some public data, the difference is striking.

Since April 2014, the beginning of this sales data interval, CoH2 has increased its average daily players count from 3,100 to 5,472. With an estimated 4 million in sales, we can say that for every 1,686 sales of CoH2, it saw an increase of 1 player in its average daily players count.

Compare that to CSGO, which sold 6.4 million units and saw an average daily players increase from 78,881 in April to 239,935. That amounts to 40 sales per 1 average daily player increase.

1,686 sales per average player increase vs. 40 players per average player increase is a massive difference - if CoH2 had that rate, it would have 103,100 average daily players right now and be the third-most-popular game on Steam - and it shows that CSGO is much better at retaining its sales as active players than CoH2 is. The reason for that is no doubt complex and not easily summarized, but it's still an interesting fact to consider.

Well relic can only blame themself for developing a full year a singel player expansion that noone cared about. Relic claims their audience is 50% singelplayer which i did not see any proof of when ardennes assault was released. On day1 the steamnumbers were identical as the day before it was released and the following week i think there was a 100 player increase on average which is in my opinion proof that coh is not a game that works as singelplayer.

Don't see the joke, i think ardennes assault was as well made a campaign can be for coh2... but it still was not nearly worth its price... because coh2 singelplayer is not very fun.

Compare Attila total war to ardennes assault, both about the same price... attila way more value as singelplayer.

The joke is that all all points in their lives, both CoH games have always had larger numbers of people playing the campaigns and stomping comps than playing competitive multiplayer. Always.

and that's a bad statistic. the only time i played the campaign was during the beta when just the first mission was available. i beat that on general (lol...) and it says i have now beat the game on general. now i suspect that the number of people who have done that is quite low but it just makes the statistics even less accurate.

Well, as only 29,8% have ever played the campaign in the first place (and that's more than literally anything else), we can conclude that 37% of the people who started playing the Campaign finished it.
