Very hyped about it, a bit curious to see if they made it a bit too easy or not.

What I like about HoI is that it can be made easy but when you play against tougher CPU you really need to get into all the aspects of the game to be able to win.
+ one HoI game can last several months to finish if you really love the game.

Try to play a MP section with friends. It's one the best MP experiencies in online gaming.

I always wanted to try but I never found a group of people to reliably play games with so starting with 1936 scenarios we usually ended no further then 1940.

I really liked HoI2, spend countless hours playing vs friends in MP. Excellent game. Sadly HoI3 turned out to be a very bad game. Didn't check out HoI4 yet but it can´t be worse than HoI3 so i guess i will buy it.

I found HoI3 really good but the problem was the strange AI behavior where SU would team up with Italy etc.

Later patches of the game fixed this and with all patches and expansions applied it is a really cool game to play.

Been following this for a while and it does look really good.

Never was into Hoi3, much less into Hoi2. Those games felt unnecessarily complex for what they really were to me. I guess I never learned to properly play those games. This one looks much more sensible and approachable.

HoI 2 is the best game of the series.

If anyone wants to try the "HoI2 experience", try this:

Darkest Hour: A Hearts of Iron Game
http://store.steampowered.com/app/73170/

DH is the HoI2 made by modders.

Developed by a team of experienced modders from the Paradox forum, Darkest Hour is a stand-alone Hearts of Iron game. The game features a mixture of short and in-depth campaigns set across the darkest chapters of the 20th century. Play from the outbreak of the Great War up until the onset of the Cold War.

yeah darkest hour is basically hoi 2 engine made into perfection.

And it aint easy too, i remember i tried playing germany once, and it took me 400k troops to take france. Barbarossa was just an utter failure, i completely ran out of everything 3 months in.

Black Ice for HoI 3 is pretty darn nice aswell. Modding really makes the HoI games come alive.
