If you dont like the game, dont play it. I love the game (yes, with its problems) so i will play as much as i can during 12-15th Feb.

Ive paid enough money in this game, I expect some changes in the balance and not a stupid event, which will bring us 2 new commanders, which are just destroying the balance more and more.
dont play it if you dont like it is a realy weak argument. it just shows ur mental competency.

Let's not create a hype here, we all know how that ended last time (first 2k15 relic stream)
Wait and see what relic communicates.

Please someone illuminate me. What that event mean? Which one will be played more? etc.

We all know that Total War has toooo much player pool than coh2 has. How did CoH2 win last year?

What was the state of Rome 2 when the first comp was held? Was it before all those fixes in the Emperor edition? If so, that may explain it. This time around I'm not sure we'll win. Who knows. Either way, the commanders from the first one have still never been put up on Steam.

its an event which contains all Multiplayer Matchups in the time of the event.

CoH 2 had much more multiplayer Matches than rome 2, this is why we won.

Rome 2 specialized more to single player content, so the most People who plays Rome 2 are mostly playing the big Campaign and not the Multiplayer Matchups.

Rtw2 was in a very poor state in the first competition and coh2 won by a small margin. Just saying...

Rome 2 seems to have more players.

But then it did so the time of the last event.

Probably COH2 games are shorter, or the campaign screen in Rome skews the numbers.

Also, if a 4v4 is won in CoH2, is that counted as one victory or 4?

What's stopping auto-surrenders?

(No surrender timer in rome 2)

I'd assume that victories are counted as per team rather than per player, even if in the case of 1v1s a single team comprises a single player. So, 4v4s would just rack up 1 point for the winning team, as would a victory in a 1v1 or 2v2. No idea, though.

so i guess new commanders it is! fuck yeah, bring it on!

Don't you guys already realize that any new MP content will potentially just screw up the balance even more?

They shouldve done it one the 17th, when a chunk of the Total War community abandons Rome 2 to play Attila.

I wouldnt hold my breath for new commanders btw: They might just have the old commanders as a prize again, since so many people have been crying for a way to obtain them in the past months.

I totally agree with this.

But don´t forget that back in February 2014 the situation of balance during the "Make war not love"-event was not much better than balance of today.

3 days AFTER the first "Make War not Love" took place we got our first big CoH2 Patch of 2014. You all will remember it as "CoH2 AFTERMATH Update" where the community map "Crossing in the woods" was implemented, battle servers came to the game and a lot of game stuff was balanced, please see the changelog of February, 18th 2014 (e.g. Tiger Ace Doctrine, Soviet industry....).

Totally agree man, but the most people in this forum playing 4vs4 or just against AI and give a fuck about balance.

the saddest thing is that Relic is going to support this Casual Gamer with new commander etc. even if the balance get worse.

I agree. The way I see it: the game was really starting to improve balance-wise around march deployment - Relic was doing and focusing on the right things. Then came WFA and ever since the game has been more or less a huge mess - not just in terms of balance, but the expansion and the patches along with it have brought performance issues and new bugs to the game.

I pretty much expected this would happen with the release of a new MP expansion, but I didn't think fixing it would take this long and the situation would get this bad in the first place.

I can only imagine where the game would be now if the WFA wasn't rushed out like that.
