Sherman pintle gunner upgrade price decrease

Reduce to 50 munitions to match other pintle gunners. This is not something that is of any benefit to asymmetrical balance. All pintle gunners should be matched in munitions cost as they are all really good. Right now Sherman gunner is 70 munitions.

LOL T34/85 is apparently a very good tank. But no one says it "one hit wipe" or elefant penetration; up to a point i think this little medium tank just have too much health and too much firepower with that fuel cost.

Is the Sherman pintle at least more effective to reflect and justify the increased price? Because if not, then reduction in cost is needed. Even 60 instead of 70 is fine, that plus 10 munitions isn't going to net you two bazookas or another airstrike.

It has better penetration, making it a pretty effective weapon vs sws halftracks, stukas, pumas, etc. I've had shermans barely survive engagements vs pumas because the machine gun finished them off just in time.
I don't necessarily think that means it should cost 70 munitions but it's something to keep in mind.

Assuming these are the correct profiles, the P4 MG-42 does more DPS at long and point blank range than the Sherman .50 cal.
The HE shells should have no impact on the price of the top gunner upgrade so no idea why you even mentioned that.
Should just normalize all the top gunners at 60 imo, no idea why some are 50 and some are 70

Well thats because pumas are the most effective at for the price , you dont expect an m10 to beat a p4 from the front now do you ? but the 50cal top gun seems to be less effctive than the mg42 top gun for its intended purpose. THey could give it better anti infantry stats and add an armor piercing rounds for 20 munis or something
Please relic and sega just take it easy with the dlc ...

You can't take the HE rounds into consideration, because this is not a pzIV vs Sherman thread. This is ALL pintle gunners. pzIV, stugIII, panthers, brumbar, IS2, Tiger, ISU152, KT, Sherman, etc. Each faction has at least 1. The sherman HE's anti-infantry is still bested by Tiger and Tiger has a pintle gunner too. So the main gun has nothing to do with this.

that depends. if you're arguing that a strong pintle plus the HE rounds makes shermans too powerful against infantry then it's valid. if you're arguing about the cost then it shouldn't be brought in because the main gun is not included in the cost of the pintle.

No, the soviet one shouldn't be 60 that is to cheap.
it is way better than the pintle mounted on sherman and mg-42.
but it is only on heavy tanks so it is fine.

I think that is something for a different thread, as that is discussion about the tanks performance in that mode overall. This is just about cost, not performance. I think performance of HE rounds or pintle (on any tank) can be discussed in a different thread.
