Do paratroopers have armor?

I have noticed they do not take consistent damage and was wondering if they have armor or the "to hit" modifier that Pgrens have

No, this is why thompsons are horrible upgrade for them.
They get hit as consistently as conscripts.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Yeah, I wish thompsons were a little cheaper, then I might actually consider them.

Has anyone tried the paratroopers thompson ability? I forgot it's name but what it supposedly does is increase accuracy but when I tried I noticed no difference, + the paras move incredibly slowly + they die more quickly...

I forgot about that ability. As soon as I saw 'but take more damage' I was like welp, better never click that button.

.71 received accuracy if you can get them to vet 3. thats like having 1.4 armor

thompsons are extremely underwhelming compared to LMG. The higher cost for the lmg is not much of an issue for US unless you really spam grenades early game
