The Grossdeutschland had been rushed from hotspot to hotspot across the entirety of the Eastern Front. And was not to hold the southern flank of XV Panzer Korps as it repositioned it. Supplies were running low, replacements were barely coming in. But it would hold, it was merely up against a Soviet Rifle Division

The front was breached and the Autobahn lay open to the british 30th Corps. The Kampfgruppe Müller was hastily assembled to block the tommies until a fresh front could be assembled.

To hell with this goddamn cold ! He'd already lost 3 men in the night. And the enemy had yet to attack. They were a Panzer Division yet circumstances had forced them to act like an infantry division, waiting for an actual infantry unit to take over. Heinz just wanted to get back to a warmer place instead of holding these frozen huts and foxholes.

As rebuilt as it could be. The 24th Panzer Division was committed to an attack to try and straighten out the frontline after the disaster that was Operation Bagration. Hopefully freeing up troops for fighting at more urgent places.

Budapest was burning. Well, the Pest side was anyways. The Soviets were advancing the and the streets were being clogged with debris and wreckage and whatever could be piled together. Holding the southern half was the Feldhernhalle Panzergrenadier Division. with what few tanks it could scrape together.

The 78th Sturmgrenadier Division was caught up in the flood that was Operation Bagration. It had to break out. And quickly. Elements of the 14th Panzer Division were nearby and quickly incorporated into the division as it prepared to make it's way towards german lines.

First and Second Kompanie had been expended. But they were merely Osttruppen. Major Müller knew no questions would be asked. He just needed to buy time for the Panzers. THEN he could crush those vile Americans with the Panzer Fist of the Reich !

5th Company was gone. The fascists overran it in minutes killing everyone. 2nd Company was too far away so it fell to 3rd Company to hold out until reinforcements could arrive.

He hadn't been given sufficient time to get the men trained. He had barely any veterans at hand and had to do his best. They had barely received any weapons. And now they expected him to launch a full assault on a position held by a British armoured division ? Had they lost their minds ? At least they had promised Panzer Support. If that ever materialized

As Sergeant Rivers struggled to get his unconscious driver out of the tank. Corporal Walters was busy laying down covering fire with his grease-gun "You Gotta hury sarge ! Krauts are looking mighty angry !" Rivers would have bellowed a response if not for the fact that the driver was goddamn heavy. Or at least he was until half his body was torn off mortar explosion, tossing the sergeant into a nearby ditch covered in blood and gore.

Otto was exhausted. Carrying all that ammunition was hard work. The sergeant said it was to prepare for the Soviet attack. But it had been quiet here for weeks. Surely that would not change ? A sharp glance from the sergeant though got Otto moving though. His arms really hurt.

In an attempt to halt Patton's advance towards the Fortress Metz. The 9th Panzer Division was committed to an assault on the flank drawing away vital resources and buying time for defences to be strenghtened. Hitting the exposed 5th Infantry Division.

As the dawn came the men of the 52nd got ready to man their positions when artillery came raining down right away. On the Horizon the Panzer Lehr Panzer Division was on the attack, and they weren't going to hold back !

Mud, mud and more mud. Heinz was tired of it. Fighting in it, eating in it. Getting stuck in it. But now was not the time to worry. He and the rest of the 24th Panzer DIvision had been ordered to attack through it and halt the advance of the 10th Mechanized Corps.
State of the Balance for February with thoughts on things as the balance patch (hopefully) soon hits

The 54th Infanterie Division was left to cover the flank of the 2nd SS Panzer Corps as it prepared for it's attack. But the 3rd Armoured Division was on the assault hoping to ruin any preperations, could the 54th hold ?

He could hear the singing on the wind. German songs of battle. He really disliked it. I mean the singing was nice in a sense. But he knew it meant he would be under attack soon. And joe did not like that at all.

Splinters all over the place. Earl could see carl go down with a huge one sticking right out of his eye, what a way to go. Goddamn Krauts and their goddamn mortars ! Earl just crawled deeper into his foxhole hoping for reinforcements to come soon enough.
