They'd succesfully cleared the last couple of villages of Germans and the advance was going well. Major Falstaff was enjoying this pace of advance. Up ahead would be another village full of Jerries to be cleared. He was sure this one would be just as easy.

Yuri jumped off the tank moments before it blew up. A pak round went through the ammunition cooking it up, and killing half his squad. But there was no time to rest. They'd been caught in an ambush and now had to push forward with limited support.

n an attempt to break the Siegfried Line the 3rd and 7th Armoured Divisions were combined in an attempt to break through in the dutch lowlands. Unbeknownst to them. The 1st SS Panzer Division was in the area and ready to counter-attack.

Sergei was huddling behind a wrecked truck. Bullets were screaming past him and down the street, on both sides he could see his comrades desperately clinging to cover, and the ones that had failed and were dead. The Machine gun up ahead was not allowing them to pass at all. There was no artillery support. And he couldn't tell if anything else was happening since all he could hear was the continued bursts of the MG42. But with a single roar from far down the street it's tyranny was ended. "Onwards Comrades ! Death to the Fascists !" And with one cry they charged forwards again.
