The 272nd had been rushed to the frontline to take up positions of a previously battered infantry division. And now stood face to face with the 5th Armoured Division attempting a breakthrough. Not a good start.

242nd Infanterie Division had collapsed after several attacks by a combined British American force and now the way to the Ruhr lay open. only the Panzer Lehr could stop them.

The time for the assault was near. The men gathered up in their positions and the tanks were fuelled up and ready to go. The fascists would not know what hit them as the might of the soviet army smashed down upon them.

The Attacked called for the 5th Mechanized Corps to attack the 224th Infanterie Division which was covering the flank of the 5th SS Panzer Corps. Pushing it back would expose the 5th SS Panzer Corps and leave them deeply vulnerable.

It was a motley collection of vehicles that had been assembled. But it was all that was available for the attack, the rest of the Panzer Brigade was busy with Patton's boys and so it fell to them to deal with the british 52nd Infantry division before it was too late.

The Russian assault had been halted after heavy casualties. But the 12th Tank Corps was quickly reinforced and the 5th SS which had been badly bruised, had not. Yet it fell to them to halt a reinvigorated Tank Corps with what resources they had left.

Minsk had been taken and half of army group centre was in retreat. it was up to the Kampfgruppe von Saucken to buy time for that retreat. No matter the cost.

Attempting to break the advance of XXX Corps the 12th SS Panzer Division was unleashed in a full frontal assault catching the Guards Armoured Division in a bad spot.

They had been ordered to stall the Russian advance somewhere in the Western Ukraine. Heinz wasn't really sure where it was. Just that he did not like it. But such was the life of a soldier in the Hermann Goering. He preferred italy to be honest.

The 111th Panzer Brigade had been tasked with stopping the advance of the 1st Armoured Division through Lorraine. But the first attack had faltered and so they had pulled back and regrouped and prepared for another attack. if this one failed. There would be no third chances.

It had been a long way to get there. But the 29th Infantry Division had finally been able to occupy it's positions and had been reinforced by the 328th tank destroyer battalion. They were ready for anything !

"Jürgen ! Cover Otto's squad as it advances on the russian positions. I'll have your head if they are able to land any good shots !" The Russians had been attacking for 3 hours now and Unteroffizier Fritz was on edge. Most of his men were gone and he had barely any reinforcements to count on.
