Fall's cost 440 mp, divided by two is 220. Divided by 4 is?

B) Fallschirms cost more, Jager light are more to reinforce (Puzzlingly)

Oh, well that's probably something like jager light used falls as a base and Relic went full retard and didn't adjust the entity cost.

Actually sounds like it's leftover from their old unreleased interpretation, where they belonged to Ostheer as a 5 man squad with old G43's.

What about spreading a bit the DPS of the LMG through the squad, reduce a bit DPS on range of IR and why not take out the bonus accuracy on retreating squads?

I prefer if the Obers had to upgrade for their LMG.

Has anyone every had to deal with an Obersoldaten squad that lost their MG34? I'd hazard a guess they still packed a bit of bunch but far less lethal.

That Obersoldaten MG34 is crazily lethal. I've yet to build them yet (though I've spent a fair amount of time with OKW actually) but I nicked it off some poor Ubersoldaten who ran into my vet3 PPSH cons at close range...
Picked it up with one of my cons, next thing I know the cons are massacring other Obers as well!

Something about Obers needs to give, they're just too good.

Obersoldaten are the only infantry that I actively avoid fighting with other infantry.

Not really going along with the thread but I got to ask: How much damage is 4 M1919 HMG together + do they suppress ?

I got a Volks squad in green cover and 2 rifleman + 4 M1919 eat them alive after I hit retreat with still 3 model alive :O.

My 2 Ober squad failed to win against those Rifleman vet 3 with M1919 T_T.

Now I feel that the combo of Rifleman + M1919 together + Jackson is even scarier in 1vs1.

I'm not saying OP and shit but those M1919 HMG is really good. Until I got my Rifle company commander, WC51 or M8 Grey Hound, I will just stick with the M1919 doctrine thanks to it crazy damage!

I'd say Rifles with M1919 will always be better unit than Obersoldaten. Especially in defensive stance. You can simply negate any infantry.

Actually the Ober's DPS comes almost entirely from that LMG. Without it, their DPS is marginally better than a Grenadier squad, it's negligible.

If you drop that MG34 then you better use whatever force you can to get it back or the next thing you know is gonna be your dead ( well mostly ).

Just think of an American Rifleman squad pick that up... oh boy, so much trouble you gonna get.

Same thing for US M1919 HMG gun. I use a Volksgrenadier vet 3 squad to pick it up and then I put them into a building. Enemy Maxim full health go up try to kill me => got kill by me instead :D.

You drop DP-28 ? Fine. MG42 ? Fine. BAR ? Fine. Flame thrower ? Fine.

MG34 or M1919 HMG ? Better pray to god.

M1919 isn't that bad, it's very similar to the MG 42. The MG 34 was only meant for Obersoldaten though, having it on any other squad is broken. Rear Echelon with MG 34 will beat MG 42 Grens hands down every time. If anyone else gets it, you should probably surrender.

Shows how broken it is?

Broken in the same way Conscripts picking up a Sniper's G43 would be broken. Or Volksgrenadiers picking up the Captain's Thompson would be broken.

Except there's no precedent of "carbines," SMGs, or assault rifles ever dropping in the game ever.

So if the Obersoldaten has an MP 40 that was statistically identical to the current MG 34, it'd be fine being only theirs? But since the model and sound is an MG, it has to drop?

By the way, you're wrong. The BAR has the "Assault Rifle" profile, and it drops.

The point is like the Captain's Thompson or Sniper's Rifle, the Obersoldaten MG was built with only them in mind, it breaks if another squad gets access to it.

By all means, yes if it would drop 90% of damage by 15 range.

You're comparing it to SMG.

I'm including effective range for SMG.

And if it was undroppable, it would need a nefty nerf.
Hell, it is droppable and needs a nerf, if you believe this unit and its killing potential is fine, then you're in such deep denial that I lack even words to describe it. But its not like you weren't in denial when we had old Tiger Ace so...

No, he said it has to drop because the model is an LMG, I said if the model was an SMG, would that make it fine?

Obersoldaten may be nerfed when the fuel restriction is lifted and vehicles can serve Ober's current role.
