Hey there,
I've been eagerly awaiting the release of WFA and looking for information on the new War Spoils System. While there was some info on the Army recently, there was nothing about War Spoils...
Can anybody tell anything about it, or is it all NDA'd?

Its under NDA so hard that it was mentioned twice to not discuss it, unless you can get conclusion from article, don't expect any answer from us.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

So basically, if I buy a Commander now I shoot myself in the knee because I'll get it for free eventually?
What about the commanders I bought previously?
Sounds a little fishy if people now get the stuff, that I once payed for, for free...

sometimes they are free forever, but most of the times they are on limited period like two days for use.

Yeah, War Spoils is basically a drop system for post-game rewards.
You can get temporary commanders,
You can get permanent commanders (although this is supposed to be very rare),
You can get bulletins,
You can get skins,
you can get faceplates,
you can get new items called victory strikes,
Such is my understanding for now.

Now when you win a match you're rewarded with Victory Strikes. it's just a visual reward, you get to see your opponent's base getting destroyed by bombardements or arty.
By choosing from different victory strikes, such as howitzer barrage or something else like a plane bombing run.

Yes Tobis.
War Spoils system is still horribly unrewarding. Gone a few games now with nothing to show for it.
It's also impossible to track progression on the old achievements - meaning you have no idea how far along they are.... Hopefully that will get fixed.
EDIT: Son of a .... I hate that new menu button. Can't find anything anymore.

What about the commanders,except the standard 3 are the others available free?or buy?or war spoil?

I was in the alpha and played against a tester who had another commander than the default 3 for USA forces, I think it was Once_Over. He told me it was a very rare drop, it was the one with the Jumbo Sherman.
Did not play the alpha that much to get any commander war spoils (Around 25h).
I sure hope there's a commander that adds tank riding as it was shown in some of the very early screenshots/trailers
