The current Steam sale is meh, and I quite often go batshit crazy during their sales and buy loads of stuff.

Metro Last Light complete edition is $13.39, which is a decent deal. Imagine my surprise when I went to add it to my basket and Steam tells me, "you already own Metro Last Light".

Exactly my point.

The good titles, we already own for years.

Indie games? Maybe one is worth the money.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Included in this Steam Sale is COH2 at half price, good deal eh? Should see a good spike in game play during the sale, like some of the other titles are seeing.

..like Borderlands 2

7 Day chart - showing about a 3k increase

A nice spike in player numbers, even though this title has been around a while and has been on sale before. So, people are obviously not bored with this game.

Same goes for Far Cry 3

7 Day chart - showing about a 17k increase

Let's look at Company of Heroes 2, which hasn't been around as long as the previous titles, so players can't be bored with it yet, so we should see a nice spike in player numbers.

You guys are whining about how crap this Steam Sale is because the games have been on sale so many times, people are bored with the games.

Well, CoH2 looks like it fits right in with your description.. but many many other games are seeing a spike in their player base due to another great Steam Summer Sale! ! !

I'm not going to go through the dozens of titles on the upswing , i gave u guys a few examples.
