And they wonder why Russia opposes NATO activities and establishes stronger forces on its borders. NATO never ceases to amaze me.

China's got a drone launched by cannon. Once airborne, it loiters and uses a laser designator to pick out targets that can now be shelled by the same gun that launched the drone.

Interestingly, this is prefigured in science fiction, in this case Sword Of The Stars 2's Complex Ordnance Launcher.

Raytheon is exploring 3D-printed missiles:

"“You can design internal features that might be impossible to machine,” said Raytheon engineer Travis Mayberry, who is researching future uses of additive manufacturing and 3-D printing. “We’re trying new designs for thermal improvements and lightweight structures, things we couldn’t achieve with any other manufacturing method.”

With commercially available high-end equipment and specially modified versions of low-cost 3-D printers, Raytheon researchers have created nearly every component of a guided weapon using 3-D printing, including rocket engines, fins, parts for the guidance and control systems, and more."

China* has released a CGI video of themselves fighting back against an "unidentified" enemy that happens to have a lot of American kit:

http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/this-is-the-insane-video-china-just-put-out-showing-it-1728674129

* Sources tell me this was not released by the PLA, as the branding says "Tencent Video", which is a reference to a group of online nationalistic activists. So it's not quite as officially belligerent a gesture as the article implies.

Stumbled upon this awesome wartime (I believe) video explaining to new pilots how flak works and the ways allied planes avoid German flak. It's got the old timey animation and was really interesting, I'd recommend giving it a quick watch!

This is interesting, although neither a pic nor a video. Radio chatter from inside a Lancaster during a bombing run.
