I just saw "End of Watch" with Jake Gyllenhall. Very much enjoyed it... showing the cops from the "other" side for once... they're actually good guys instead of the normal bad lieutenants.

Saw Django Unchained in the theaters last week. Loved it.

I felt soooo fucking terrible through out all of Django. Great movie I agree. But damn.. violence.

On another note I recormend:

It's not me, I swear. (2008).
Dogtooth (2009).
Synecdoche, New York. (2008).

If anyone has magic fingers I would love to get a copy of a french movie called "Un Lac" (A lake) from 2008.

Yeah Django was really great. End of Watch was incredibly good, I can't believe there hasn't been more buzz about that movie.

I just saw the film El secreto de sus ojos for the second time, and after watching it for the 2nd time it only gets better. Wachting it for the first time results in a huge surprise at the end of the film (great script). But once you watch it for the 2nd time, you can pay attention to all the little clues the director gives you, and there are a lot of them! This makes it only more fun unraveling the story and the intention of the maker. Besides this, the subtle, sometimes even sarcastic, humour in the film is great too.

So first 5 stars, since I definitely recommend this film to anyone!

Watched Wreck-It Ralph today and loved it. A lot of fun video game jokes, candy/sugar jokes and a nice Pixar movie underneath. ^_^

I'm with you on that point, 100%.

I enjoyed watching the Oscars last night. I've seen Argo, Django, Beasts of the Southern Wild, and Zero Dark Thirty. Next up for me is Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook, Life of Pi, and the Master.

  • El Secreto de sus Ojos, Campanella 2009. ★★★★★

I really enjoyed this movie as well, so many layers to explore. At first glance looks like a mystery/thriller but turns out to be a movie about love. So cool :)

Have you seen Tropa de Elite 1 or 2?

I just saw Kelebegin rüyasi (The Dream of a Butterfly) in the cinema and I think it's a pretty good film. But since it's pace is so low I won't recommend it unless you really like/appreciate 'art house' films. Some of the poems were great and the story of the butterfly and the saint is an awesome paradox ^^ It's a film that motivates you to think, which is always a good thing about a film imo.
