Removing HUD icons for Screenshots

I did a quick search and found this by OnkelSam

It was stashed away, so I re-post it here, where it may be found useful as well.


some helpfull console commands to unable all the interface graphics. You need to run the game in " -dev" mode and open the console (hit ctrl+shift+~) while watching a replay. Then use the following commands

- message_hide: hides things like "Playback" and "Paused"
- message_show
- game_hideui: hides alot of stuff, such as squad selection and icons
- game_showui
- cursor_hide: hides the cursor
- cursor_show
- UI_TerritoryHide: hides the territory lines
- UI_TerritoryShow
OnkelSam

It makes for some really nice screenshots.

I prefer Janne's cheatcommands mod. It let's you do the same but also stuff like hiding fog of war and spawning new units. :)

Yes that is a very nice utility. But I mostly take screenshots in the replays.

There is also a screenshot option in the editor.


I do try, when I can, the problem is the game play elements are captured as well. Bunkers for example, in the editor, it doesn't show the actual bunker, but a generic grey box.
