I managed to get over the population cap of 100 to 222 in this multiplayer pre-alpha. So, I decided to make a video looking up close and personal with all the tanks I was able to get during the match.
Has anyone else been able to get higher than 222 in this current pre-alpha, and what would people think of the official games pop cap been increased from the current 100 to 200 or whatever?

Automatch:
While there is no difference between 100 and 300 pop cap, if the units take less or more pop cap, the current amount of units is exactly right. You have to consider your army composotion and cant get 10 of every unit.
Too many units will kill your performance and cant be microed properly.
Larger Armies would need way larger maps.
For custom matches:

Looking forward trying it out to see whats best. As as far as I know Relic set the population cap in Age of Empires 4 too 200 per match.
I was getting down into the 30's for fps at times when I hit the 222 in the match, so yeah it does hit performace in the current build.
