Ostruppen or Defensive?
I feel like Ostruppen gives you a stronger early game but Defensive has more for the late game but there's no where to dump munis on Defensive. The sector arty is kind of meh but the railway arty can be devastating.
Which is the better Ostruppen doctrine?

I wish there was an Elefant and Ostruppen combination commander. Feels like they would synergise well.

I think Defensive is gack on anything other than 4v4s. Provides little utility for tense 1v1 games. Osttruppen commander, on the other hand, synergizes with osttruppen by giving them supply drop (cashing in on the MP you saved up from playing with truppen and rewarding you with support weapons and resources) and the Arty officer which is just great all-around.
Defense is pretty cool with the defensive bombardment thing for 4v4s though.

Borderline necro, but ofc Ostruppen is the best commander not only for the unit itself but for OST in general.
You have plenty of cheap and reliable cannon fodder, put them in green cover and they scale nicely too. The free MG and ATG is cherry on top. You also have a very decent offmap ability.
All in all, good.
