Took a break for a year or two and it's good to see the same changes being made to favor Axis playstyles. Heaven forbid we have any units or strategies that effectly counter the two sacred Gucci factions.

UKF is so laughably bad now and USF isn't that much better. For USF they've basically removed any early game advantage you had with Riflemen by making Grens better, and of course you're still dealing with early Panzergrens and MG42s, not to mention sniper play and mortars. And people want to whine about the Scott.

Reminds me of when people where whinning about the Jackson and got it nerfed just because it was good at killing Panzer IVs. I mean hello, it's a tank DESTROYER, it's supposed to be good at killing tanks, and the P4 isn't even the top tier stock tank for either German faction. But of course the "community balance team" gave in and did it anyway, they'll do it again for the Scott.

Always same shit promote mg42 camping and okw blobbing while punishing allies for doing anything similiar when in general they have worse tools to do so anyway with a heavier micro tax to be effective

it turns out that the community decided that scott spam is fine


but if there are patch notes we can be assured to see scott or pathfinder "reworks" or straight up nerfs regardless

They do what they always do and give it a “buff” but its actually a nerf.

You guys don't understand. He doesn't (Sturmpanther) feel comfortable spamming his grenadiers, Scott makes life too hard in his favorite 4v4 mode, so he votes for the nerf. lmao, this is so predictable.

the one semi decent strategy for usf in team mode was discovered and people immediately made at least two threads attempting to groom the balance team to nerf it via polls

If there is no factions weaker then the mentioned faction in particular game mode, then it is the weakest by the definition.

Unless one uses identical faction there will always be a "weakest" faction (unless perfectly balanced which is not realistic). Now there can be a great difference between "weakest" and "trash".

USF have a lot to offer in team games and the ambulance is one of these things and scotts is another.

Weak because of what? 4 USF in 4v4 is for sure much weaker then say 4 soviets in 4v4, but it doesnt mean that USF is weak = trash.

Problem with the USF is that in 4v4 rifles gimmics arent working due to narrow maps and MGs coverything almost everything, but it doesnt mean that USF is the weakest. I would still say that as far as allies go UKF is the weakest in 4v4, untill maybe mid game.

But its not a secret that its generally harder to play as random allies in 4v4 because most of the players are retards, the same way its generally harder to play as axis in 1v1. So this backbone aurgement "USF is weak in 4v4" is ultimatly flawed. They might be on a weaker side options wise, but in a context of "weak teammate faction" they are not even close to being weak in 4v4. I would be glad to play with non-retarded USF as a teammate in 4v4 over UKF anyday.

I think I summed up my thoughts about USF in this comment


Big issues of USF in terms of team games are:
1) expensive infantry that has close-mid operating range
2) map design that mostly promotes long range engagements. This design favors HMGs and long range infantry like grens, guards, obers etc.

You add (1) and (2) together, add the fact that grens are long range + all aggression can be easily diffused by HMG42. Also the fact that you need different tech for HMG and AT gun, only adds salt to the wound.
This pretty much leads to 1 good USF doctrine - Airborne. Paths to spot an HMG, lmg paras to counter grens, and AT/HMG drop to offset teching problems.

If you take out from the roster/nerf to the ground Airborne, the winrate across all teamgames will drop for USF. Pretty sure about that.

There is nothing hard about playing OST in 1v1. OKW can be tricky, that I agree, but the same could be said about USF as well.

OST hard in 1v1? What drugs are you on? You have a couple of different builds, all work wonders. Generally you play around the MG42, and given the massive arc, you won't spend a lot of time repositioning it. OKW is "harder" to play in 1v1 because you have to make a choice in teching, but other than that, they are completely fine. Never seen an OKW player that struggled against any allied faction in 1v1. They dominate USF the most, soviets the least.
