Hmm, if Sega released DLC for Point Hospital in time for their 60th anniversary, what are the chances that they will release any DLC / content for CoH2?

Armor of Heroes:

Interesting use of CoH2 art assets (3D models, textures, splats) in a seemingly different engine (water rendering appears to be different).

I would like to see modes from Tales of Valor instead of Armor of Heroes: Assault, Stonewall, Panzerkrieg. On the CoH2 engine.

What will probably happen is that Relic/Sega finally realize the community's strong wish for a CoH3. They panick and release the Italian faction DLC for CoH2, making them broken OP and crushing the last authenticity this game has.
Afterwards they sell themselves to Valve to never be forced again zo release a third installment of a franchise.

Or they will just plain not release anything because of DoW3 syndrome.

How could the Italians possibly be OP when their armor development never advanced beyond 1942? Italy was barely a factor in 1943 onward due to the whole thing about them surrendering. Italians would be a useless faction in CoH2 because they have no late-game. Literally, since they were toppled in 43 and the vast majority of Italian Troops in Axis territory were disarmed and used as slave labor. What was left of the loyalist Italian Army was mostly sent to Italian units within the Wehrmacht. The Italian Social Republic on the other hand was so strapped for manpower they began taking prisoners and offering freedom (for military service) or death (refusal).

If Italy is to be featured in CoH2 they would be an Ostheer doctrine at best. For Italy to be fully featured the next CoH will need to be early-war and feature Italy in Africa, Eastern Front, or Sicily.

This is a game, and for the sake of playability and balance, you can always pull a really not strong country up to gaming realities. And there is something to tighten:

In theory, creating a playable and balanced Italian faction is not a problem. But this will obviously be far from reality, since it will be based on the smallest and best that Italy had.

You completely missed the irony...

Ex-Sega Developer (Golden Axed) Criticizes Sega's 60th-anniversary celebrations, Posted Oct. 15, 2020,:
https://nordic.ign.com/news/40625/ex-sega-developer-criticizes-release-of-golden-axe-prototype-created-under-crunch-conditions
*snip*
The launch of Golden Axed has surprised some of the prototype's original developers, who worked on the project almost a decade ago and were not informed by Sega that it would be making a return.
Dawson mentioned that he was working on the game for "14-hour days" amid "7 day work weeks." and called Sega "parasites" for the tongue-in-cheek description of the game originally featured on its Steam store page, which read as follows: "Golden Axed may be janky, may be buggy, may be an artifact of its time, but it offers a unique glimpse into the prospect of a project that could have been."

Later, Dawson added to his comments, saying "If you're excited to play an old prototype, that's fine! Bunch of people including me worked hard on it. And obviously Sega owns it and any work I did, it's just a bit weird they're saying they reached out to the original team."

IGN reached out to Sega for comment on this story, who provided the following response:

"SEGA Europe reached out to former members of the Golden Axe: Reborn dev team to produce this prototype of the game for Steam as part of our 60th Anniversary celebrations. We wanted to bring the work of the developers at the time to light and celebrate it as a part of our history. Something we didn't get the chance to do first time around. We certainly didn't mean to dredge up painful memories for Mr. Dawson and his former colleagues or appear disrespectful. We've removed the line from the Steam copy that could have been taken as a slur on the development and would like to reassure everyone that it was intended as a comment on the build we had ported to PC, not the quality of the original work. We're hoping lots of fans play the prototype and can appreciate the work he and his colleagues put into this developing this prototype."

Golden Axed is part of Sega's 60th Anniversary Steam Celebration, which also includes a Streets of Rage/Yakuza mash-up game and a retro battle tank game based on Company of Heroes.

*sigh*
