This is an interesting idea, and the logic behind the suggestion is very sound. UKF is really lacking in infantry AT solutions.
However, afaik Commandos can already equip Piats via the weapons rack? I am also not sure if added dmg is going to help the situation as dmg was never the problem with Piats. Being able to fire on the move is also not what's important.
While the approach is interesting, I don't think this is what the faction needs (speaking as a Brit player).
What I would like instead is to give Piats much longer attack ground range.
