Not really the 76mm is simply broken. It has the beast all all worlds.

From the USF:
Radio net

From the Soviet:
The OP vet bonuses T-34 gets

And on top of that one of the best pintle HMGs.

It is the 76mm that need to be look at and not the Easy8s.


Last time I checked they both shared the same veterancy and the radio net ability. I think the Soviet 76mm also kept secure mode, but I'm not sure.

Soviet and USF 76mm are about similar. We are comparing the USF easy8 with 76mm.

My point is that Easy8 does not need to buffed to 76mm level. It is the other way around, it is the 76mm that need to brought inline with other Shermans.

T-34/76 has superior vet bonuses because its base stat are lower. With the superior 76mm bases and with radio net thing simply get out of control.

76mm does suffer some diminishing returns because its """HE""" reload is already very low. Tbh, I'm much more afraid of an M4 with dozer upgrade than the 76mm.

I'm not bothered by the fact the EZ8 loses to a Panther that's not a big deal a Panther is supposed to be a better tank. I'm bothered by the fact that it is supposed to be a good all around tank but it's not. It is almost as bad against infantry as a Jackson. It will almost always lose a 1v1 engagement with any double panzerschrek sqaud even out in the open.

I don't think the cost is an issue it's fine where it is. I don't think it needs any more AT ability really so no HVAP needed.

It just needs better AI ability. They should give it WP rounds because that way it will have an alternate type of ammunition since it's the only Sherman variant that currently doesn't have that and it would give it a unique ability to clear buildings with those WP rounds. USF is the only faction with no vehicle based flamethrower this would kind of fill that gap and give the E8 something to do that other Shermans and USF vehicles can't. Heck you could reenact Fury. I've suggested this before I'm surprised more people haven't, it would also go alone with the theme of the doctrine being about WP and flame weapons.

As far as the doctrine itself they really should add 1 more thing to it. Either give access to an M3 HT or give access to the M1919 LMG. The M1919 makes the most sense, it is "Rifle Company" after all so why not give the Riflemen more later game firepower?

The Dozer upgrade is another monstrosity also.

I like the idea of the E8 limited to one and buffed as a hero unit.

Sort of like the command tiger but with different buffs and abilities

And yet it would have little place in "rifle company".

I would rather see Dozer moved here (buffed to hero level if there a need to) and more buff and abilities riflemen for this commander become more like Ostheer infatry commander.

Someone never seen the E8 in a good hand, right? It isn't the best tank out there...but is easy spam able and better than a P4. ...has fast reload, good armor and HP and can self repair...good AT and AI performance...if you flank clever....you win most games with that.

How about we make the EZ-8 more like a Panther and increase the cost & pop cap? The tank can be less effective vs infantry but good vs tanks. Also it will bring more flavor in USF build order instead of Jacksons.

This may warrant a 5 fuel cost increase.

The extra range may be sufficient to distinguish it from other sherman variants.

Let’s give the StuGG 15 range, 30 pen and 20% rate of fire.

Hmmmm, maybe 10 fuel extra is fair? Nah too much. 5 extra fuel.

The HP buff is primarily useful as it will allow the e8 to take a faust without reducing the number of tank shots to kill it. It's not a substantial buff since it already takes 5 shots to kill from most tanks and this would not change that.

This is an inappropriate buff to the panzer 4.

The 5 range is to distinguish it from other sherman variants and help a little with its matchup against the panther. Neither of these buffs is that substantial given the stats and role it already possess.


With the StuG, I actually think an extra 5 range wouldnt be that bad an idea and I've advocated it for a while. Either that or a slight price reduction.

The OKW p4 is fine as is with its superior scatter vs infantry over most other mediums.
