These things are pretty amazing, with Scotts, Stuarts, strong infantry synergy and weapon upgrades, there is almost no need for a heavy or even medium tanks. Scotts force the opponent to commit to dealing with them since their range and ability to shoot over obstacles while having a decent wipe potential renders them annoying, to say the least.

The more I play USF, the more I find gimmicks like this, and the more I start really hating the faction.

The point is this:
USF infantry and light vehicles are so potent and with so varied applications that it leaves other factions looking dull or incomplete from a purely game design standpoint.

Stuart -
Can 1 shot squads if you can micro them to shoot properly
Fast speed and good acceleration
Vehicle Stun
Engine Damage ability
Has the Crew inside who can instantly repair crits for 10 munitions
Even the tiny MG does decent damage

Scott -
Fast
Good rate of fire
Fires over obstacles
1's cute, 2's a nightmare
2 Scotts for 150 fuel can make Panzer 4s blush.

These are both micro-intensive units mind you, and if you purely look at the stats you might be left wondering what the big deal is. These units are simply too good for what they do. Normally for any other faction if you have a unit that's really good at one thing, you get a counter to it and kill it. With the Stuarts and Scotts this is not so, since they are just so fast and can get away from trouble with ease.

Sherman >> scott, a fast sherman has way more shockvalue and the ability to finish the game in your favor, and can tank 2 more shots.

Also hf dealing with a panther, kt or tiger with scotts and a stuart.

I see your Panther, KT or Tiger and raise you a doomblob of Riflemen, Captain and 2 AT Guns with focused sight and +range. The point is the Scotts run back and forth dealing damage, they can instagib squads efficiently and with Combined Arms they get even more potent.

OMG, what a steaming pile of shit.

Did you actually watch the replay.

The axis player gets caught out badly going for flame half track because he has no AT to fight fast Stuart, meaning the Stuart can safely pursue retreating squads into base. Something all factions can do.

Secondly, all axis units are low health meaning high probability of wipes.

The game is basically over once axis player looses multiple squads to stuart.

The rest of the game, the axis player is behind and fighting with an army half the size of the allies. OFC scotts will be effective.

Provide a real replay where the game is more evenly matched and I may give some consideration to what you have to say but at the moment you present as a biased imbecile.

Biased imbecile?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What's your ladder rank please, for reference.

I'll provide you with more replays, if you wish, though that's providing you lose that attitude of yours or, if that is impossible, kindly fuck right off.

In hindsight I could have been less derogatory and instead taken the time to explain why this post is a very poor example of a particular unit being OP.

The simple fact is, the axis player made some poor choices during the game and did not respond correctly to the units that fortune was building. I think most people who watch the replay will agree that the game was over once the Stuart wiped two squads and therefore all play that follows is largely irrelevant or at best unreliable.

Part 1 ( due to multiple pics ).
Axis player goes early flame half track as first unit out of T2. He has no idea until now what allies player has teched to. He also has no AT or defensive mines at this point.

Flamer retreats while gren tries to faust. Note low health and lack of supporting units specifically another gren squad to faust stuart if it decides to chase..

Almost dead gren retreats after failing to faust. Mg bails from house and retreats using the same retreat path that the gren is using. It is clearly evident what will happen next.

Stuart can safely drive into base. Note army size of both sides. The game is more or less over at this point.

Part 2.

The axis player's next move is to callin gren squad / half track for 500 mp and 30 fuel. So not only is he way behind due to 3 squads being wiped but spends 500 mp on a unit that cannot fight a stuart. Most people view this callin as extremely over priced and generally not worth it.

Axis player later goes on to build pgren and upgrade with shrecks.

Axis player attacking stuart with shrecks in open, no cover, no support just yoloing. Pgrens will loose this engagement and loose health/models in engagement.

Axis player builds first pack40 at 15 min. Up untill now the only At on the field for axis is shrecks.

Part 3.

Sniper fighting in area under fire from scotts.

Sniper is soon dead. Shock horror. :loco:

Command tank Diving.

Grens blobbing under fire from 2 scotts. Most people know what will happen here.

End of game. No med bunker or t3.

The axis player fails to properly respond to the threat of the stuart and then trys to fight scotts with infantry and command tank. The other important fact is the axis player is behind from about 6.30 due to 3 squad wipes all at same time. As i previously said, the axis player made incorrect choices for this game.

It follows that using this replay to demonstrate the op'ness of the stuart and the scott is biased and factually incorrect.
