I'm still finding these OKW blobs impossible to hold back as Soviets, in fact OKW feels like how Soviets should feel, I'm having absolutely no joy at all regardless of configuration, the buggers just don't die

Have you tried you try HMG, quads, mortars, demolition explosives, mines, flamers, Penal with DSHk support, conscripts with PPsh, rapid conscription, propaganda artillery/KV-8...

KV8 doesn't kill anything anymore, ppsh is terrible against OKW, you die on the approach and die at range, artillery prompts more powerful OKW artillery units, propaganda only gives you temporary map control, I use quad and mortars I find tier one, leaves me outnumbered pretty badly and Panzer 3 or flak trak become a big issue, IS2 just ends up facing the KT, Soviets are the worse faction for anti blob work, Americans and Brits are way better in my opinion.

I would generally veto Crossing in the Woods as Allies if I were you. Allied players have to spend far more energy to stay in the game in this map than their Axis counterparts.

I cant veto it as Semois consistently crashes my game so I have to Veto both the summer and winter version, been crashing despite reinstall and graphics card change, so no particular answer to that one
