No one posts replays with this guy, so I thought I would share.

As I know he's really good I pulled out all the BS, G43+LMG, went straight to T4 to fight the KV8...I know, right, straight to T4 in 1v1? Yeah, in this meta if you go Elite Troops you're going to have to vs KV8 because the Tiger Ace won't hit the field in time to save you - stug spam might be a good alternative.

I suicided the Tiger Ace because I knew I needed the res back for more panthers and reinforce, but failed to defend my fuel. And needed more Teller mines, I tried to lure him into one but he didn't take the bait. KV8 and IS2 started wiping my infantry. I feel like I did well enough against the shocks, and did wipe some cons.

Though as in most high level games the MG loss was also very costly.

I hate this meta. They really need to have some teching cost associated with super tanks.

Hope this replay helps you beat him! He does seem to conspam a lot, so an earlier MG will probably help as opposed to infinite gren.

Anyway ladder doesnot represent the skill anymore, 90+ % of the good players doesnot play. You can get into top with playing much.

And, if you know he will go kv8 still choose ET? really? sniper will kill the ST, while lmg squad should kill the vanilia cons spam. Then get hull down panther if you really wanna go t4 + pak43.
If he chooses doctrine immediately, the game is already over in the beginning. *facepalm

Eh, I dunno, incendiary and lots of troops to take a Pak43. Should have made sniper though.

I post my replays if they are interesting. This is an example of a very simple, but very powerful Soviet strat that will probably be more difficult to counter once a grenadier nerf hits.

I am simply interested in tactical discussion of how best to counter it. If anyone is interested in playing this vs me, I'd love to try some alternative builds against it.
