Seasonal Map Cup Spring Finals 2018

What we have all been waiting for! The Seasonal Map Cup Finals are here and ready to go on the 19th of May. A lot of upsets and an interesting set of names have come out of the month long qualifiers that all build up to this moment. These matches will not be something you want to miss!

Map Vetoes and Faction Selection

These below differ from the previous article.

BO3

Game 1: coin toss winner chooses either the map OR faction first.
Then coin toss loser chooses their faction AND chooses the map. Then the coin toss winner chooses their faction if he hasn't chosen one yet.
Game 2: players swap Allied/ Axis and play same map as G1. The player that chose faction in game 1 second, now chooses his faction first.
Game 3: VP leader chooses faction first on a map that has not been played
in set preference order of map 1, map 2, map 3, map 4 or map 5 as shown in map pool seed.

19th of May: Check-in starts at 8:30 EST
19th of May: Semi-Finals start at 9:00 EST
- 3rd place match begin immediately after both Semi-Final Matches conclude
- The Finals start after the match for 3rd place concludes

Prizes

You need a valid Paypal account to receive the money from the prize pool, so if you do not have a Paypal account, make sure to create one before entering this tournament!

The prize pool for both tournaments will be divided as follows:

1st Place: 50%
2nd Place: 35%
3rd Place: 15%

Games will be casted live by Tric. If you want to know when he is broadcasting those games, then you may follow Tric at Twitch.tv/tric_tv or keep an eye on the ticker of COH2.ORG on the days the games are played!

Organizer/Mapping Tier Percentages

Due to the work with coordinating and working with the players to make and test the maps, running the tournament, and casting, there is a percentage of the money raised that goes to financing the time and effort required for production.

The tiers for the percentages are as follows, based on total money raised for prize pool.

Tier 1: 0-199USD = 15%

Tier 2: 200-299USD = 20%

Tier 3: 300-∞USD = 25%
