Allied Supply Drop is so horrible. THe plane gets shot down easily, while the Axis drop cannot be countered. Even in the past when the plane did get shot down it would still drop all of its cargo

If you read the guide you will see that in some map A.S.D. can not be shot down also, making the ability virtual uncounterable...

If I comprehend correctly Original post does not claim that S.Z.D. is OP compared to A.S.D. yet I get a feeling from you posts that you think so...

um just looking at the comparisons, it seems fairly clear axis supply drop zone is much better. It also comes in some good commanders.

Conclusions seem to say differently...both abilities have their pro and cons depending on map, mode and the factions playing...
I would even argue that A.S.D. can be better in 1v1 :)

I would consider supply drop zone (S.D.Z) O.P. compared to Allied supply drop (A.S.D.). I consider them about equal but would accept is someone found S.D.Z. a slightly better but not O.P...

If I understand correctly neither does Original post...

WTF are you smoking mate, coz I didn't understand a word you said.
Supply drops are clearly broken, and need to be removed.

"Myself" based on the note, now clarified by Relic that it's intended that the Axis planes are invincible, and that by most maps design you will not hold the opposing teams fuel often I'd say the overall conclusion wouldnt be changing but it's concerning.

The maps that ASD cuts the corner are limited, and it's risky as some crates hit the map edge or trees and be become unobtainable or destroyed. Not to mention really the most plentiful and easy to obtain resource in the game is manpower, especially the Eastern Leigon troops now sharing this ability. The ability also lacks s cool down for providing more resources in a safer manner and place than the allied drop. With its cool down and cost you will easily outpace an opponent trying to call in fuel for allies, not to mention you can shoot it down.

It is rather concerning that Relic seemed to admit the difficulty and slight frequency that you can penetrate the defence of the Axis drop, by testing the planes being vulnerable and sharing a similar route to ASD. As per the guide, is strongly recommend using the Axis drop in its current state as unless you on the right map and know that it will cut the corner, the allied drop is just asking for trouble.

An ability at low risk providing 50 fuel or 150muni to a safe sector in invincible planes flying over a ~57 second time period vs the other providing 30 fuel direct to base over the worst possible one in a slow vulnerable plane, it's a pretty stark comparison with Relics recent confirmation that the drop will remain unchanged for now. Although I would also hope to see the maps where ASD can cut the corner, I hope these knock on bugs with the attempted Axis drop fix also get fixed.

Quite simply as the conclusion in the article mentions, these abilities should find a mid ground as both change game pacing, but it must be said the Axis drop is far more capable of damaging changes. Personally I'd be not one bit upset to see them go and leave caches and opens to fulfill their intended role at an understandable risk, you must always control the sector.
